Solangelo One Shot

The Gift

Nico's POV:

Everything is going well. The war with Gaea is over and there is peace between the Greek and Roman camps. And Will and I have been a happy couple for six years.

I wonder around camp through the snow, looking for Will. Hanging on the building are little Christmas lights made of flaming balls of green fire. Camp Half-Blood has magic borders to protect us from any extreme weather, so I guess Mr. D allowed the snow.

I find Will sitting by the crackling hearth wearing an orange oversized CHB sweatshirt. "Hey," I say to him while smiling a little. I'm shivering a little from the cold.

"Hi," Will says back. "You Cold?"
"Yeah," I say while hugging my elbows.
"Come here," he says with open arms. He's looks so cute right now with small flakes of snow in his golden hair and his huge sweatshirt.

I sit down next to him and he wraps his arms around me. I can feel him smiling into my hair. Will's body is warm, despite the cold weather. He smells of clean laundry and lemon soap. Then he gives me a small kiss on the cheak. I kiss him back, but this time on the lips.

Will hands me a large present box. I usually don't get any presents for Christmas.
"Uh, thanks Will."
He doesn't say anything, just smiles and looks at me expectantly.

I open the the lid and find another box inside. I open that box and find another box. Now I'm getting a little annoyed. This goes on for six more packages, until all that's left is a small velvet box. At this point I'm so irritated It takes me a moment to realize I'm holding an engagement ring.
"Nico," Will says while staring deep into my eyes. "Will you marry me?"
I'm so surprised, but I love Will so much I don't even have to hesitate.
"Yes," I tell him.
