Chapter 7: "The Talk"

Taissa's POV

I woke up much earlier that Evan the next morning and decided that I need to go talk with Vera. Unsure of why I was making she made such a big deal about Evan's age I had this strange feeling in my gut that I needed to make things alright with her. It was probably because of who she was and what she meant to me. Vera was Vera. She had always been more of a second mom to me than a big sister. I couldn't handle loosing her, so I sent her a text.

To: Vera💋
"I was wondering if you wanted to grab breakfast this morning to discuss what happened last night?"

She responded almost immediately and another message came in soon after.

From: Vera💋
"Will Evan be attending?"

To: Vera💋
"He doesn't have to if it really matter that much to you."

From: Vera💋
"Meet me at Jays cafe in 30 minutes?"

To: Vera💋
"Sure"

I then checked the other text to make sure that it wasn't anything super important I was missing. It was a group text.

From: Ryan Murphy💀
"Hi all. Just a reminder that shooting today will start at 3pm and will probably end around 8-9pm."

From: Sarah Paulson💖💖💖
"Cool! Everyone come to my place afterwards... Going to be lots of fun!😉"

I then put my phone down on the counter top and went into the bedroom to get dressed. After throwing on a pair of jeans, my nirvana t-shirt, one of Evans flannels and my converse I decided to leave Evan a note explaining where I was in case he woke up.

|| good morning handsome! I ran out to grab some breakfast and I'll bring you home some. Had lots of fun last night! :) ||

I then proceeded out of the room and the hotel to call a cab.

Vera was already at the restaurant when I arrived. She welcomed me with a bright smile and a warm hug as if nothing had happened less than 24 hours ago. We had ordered our food and Vera had still yet to bring up anything about Evan or the events that had transpired last night. "Soooo..." "Yes?" Why was she acting like this? "I wanted to talk about last night." "What about it?" "Well you kinda freaked out. Since when did you have an issue with age?" "Ever since I dated an older guy and it didn't end well. He just used me for sex." "So what does that have to do with me and Evan?" "Anyone who wants to date someone that much younger than them is almost always just looking for sex." "Vera the key word in what you said was 'almost always.' Evan really loves me. I'm sorry but I'm not going to let you come in the way of what we have just because you had a bad relationship once." She looked at me with a straight face. Not angry not happy not confused, just a plain facial expression. "So are you still going to have an issue with it?" "I don't like it, but I'm not going to come in the way of anything." "What's that supposed to mean?" "It means I don't like it, but I'm not going to come in the way of anything." "Oh." "I'm sorry but I have a meeting I need to be at. We'll talk soon." With that she gave me a hug and left me sitting alone at the table.

I boxed up the food I had ordered for Evan and left to head back to the hotel. Evan was awake and seemed frantic when I walked in. "Tai where have you been. I've been looking everywhere for you!" "Ev I went to get some breakfast and I left you a note" I said pointing to the note I had left for him on the countertop." "Oh." "You're adorable." I walked over to him and kissed him. I could never get tired of this. "We have to head in for filming at 1" "what I though it was at 3?" "It was but they switched the times." "Yayyy."

Evan and I slowly got dressed and went to filming. There was nothing new and we only had to film a handful of scenes that day. Everything on set was peaceful, I mean except for what was happening in the show. Now that shit was crazy, but I continued to fall in love with the show and the story lines within it.

When we were done filming everyone went to Sarah's hotel room, as she had previously requested. We were all tired and drunk when Sarah blurted out "let's play truth or dare!" She waited a few seconds until she added on "but dirty." Oh well this will be fun.
