Tears

Kehlani's POV:

I stood there for a second, taking in the beauty of the woman in front of me, somehow more stunning since I had last seen the taller woman, I couldn't believe it when I found myself standing outside her door just moments earlier. I had been sat in my car, trying to stop the tears before getting out, I had no idea why I always ended up here when things went wrong in my life. As much as I was sure that she hated me I didn't know who else I could go to, she was always understanding of my situations no matter what they were.

"I'm so sorry Lillie-Rose" she hated her first name but knew it meant something was terribly wrong for me to not only be here, but also using her full name. She glared just a little at it before softening once again and immediately questioning me "what's wrong love?"  love that pet name always made me melt "it happened again, I should've taken what you said more truthfully and not let myself be taken back in by her, you know I can't control myself though she just, she... s-she" I started to tear up again and stuttered out the last few words before the tears came falling down, before I could even register what was happening I was being pulled into a hug and a hand was rubbing my back "shhh you're okay, I'm here" she whispered the sweet words into my hair placing a small kiss to the top of my head, I buried my face into her chest wrapping my arms tightly around her not wanting to face the reality in front of me. I looked up towards Lillie as best I could without loosening my grip around her, the concern was written all over her face as she tried to hide her emotions, her beautiful blue eyes looking down at me as if she was looking for something specific. She met my gaze and gave me a soft smile, she brought her arms down lower and gently shifted mine, I let her move as she needed following her lead.

"You're okay love, come sit with me" her voice made my stomach settle, but only slightly. I didn't let go of her although she tried to step towards the couch I assumed she had been sitting on before I interrupted her night. She reached for my hand, gently leading me to where she wanted me to sit, I couldn't deny that I definitely felt something spark as my hand was engulfed by hers, I let her pull me down to sit, her aim was terrible so I ended up sitting half way on her thigh but as I tried to shuffle backwards to sink into the comfortable couch her face fell just a little bit before it became filled with what seemed to be concern once again.
What felt like an eternity of silence as I quietly wiped my tears away I felt I had enough confidence to fully explain to the concerned woman as she looked at me with emotions that I couldn't read, she had always been good at hiding her emotions from me, I assume she picked up the signal I was trying to send that said I was ready as she turned to face her curvy body towards mine
"I just wanna start by saying I'm sorry for showing up without warning, I didn't know who else to go to, everyone, all my friends, the few people I consider my family, all of them..." I trailed off feeling the tears swell in my eyes once more but a hand wiped them away before any could fall so I continued "they all took her side, saying that she wouldn't have cheated if I had given her what she wanted. That she wouldn't have hit me if I hadn't talked back so much while she was yelling at me about stupid things we were arguing about." I tried to look into Lillie's eyes as I finished talking, a look of realisation swam across her face as if she understood exactly what had happened, I mean who was I kidding? This wasn't the first time I came running back here after similar situations had happened except this time, it was in person rather than a wall of text sent to her from whichever social media I wasn't blocked on. Looking back into her eyes they were filled with rage, that was the only emotion she couldn't hide from me as I had seen it previously back when we were on better terms.. she placed her hand in front of me wanting my phone as she knew I had definitely received texts and images from everyone either berating me or showing me even more proof of the cheating, liar I called my girlfriend. As I handed it over, she angrily mumbled "pin?" once she was successfully scrolling through my texts and photos of what had happened the tension rose in the air, I knew that I would end up being talked to by her, almost scolded for the fact that I could've avoided this.

Lillies POV:
Kehlani was the last person I had expected to see tonight, just a day ago pictures of her and Gia were amoung the posts of my facebook feed along with paragraph length captions about their love for one another. What I wasn't surprised about was that Gia had cheated, and been caught, again. This was something that I had warned her about when we were friendly again after our own breakup, which definitely wasn't pretty thanks to me.
Her phone pinged as a new text came through reading "if you've gone to that sluts place i will find you and you'll be sorry you'd ever thought about her" for some reason that made my blood boil. slut? me? I was never unfaithful to the woman next to me yet here Gia was calling me that dreaded word; I'm sure she picked it up after hearing the story of how I ended up dating my ex-fiancée, Tabatha..
I shook my head clearing the thoughts of my past life away focusing again on the small, shaking figure next to me, "love?" I let the word slip my mouth, this time it was unintentional though unlike the first time I had said it tonight. She peered up at me through her lashes, fear was flashing on her face as she asked "what was the message?" her voice was soft, trembling, almost in tears again, the poor thing had never been this upset in front of me, before I could stop myself my arms wrapped around her frame, gently pulling her closer to me "nothing important, just Gia spewing bullshit again. You know I won't let her near you as long as I'm here" I gave a soft smile as she cuddled into me, letting her tears fall freely this time knowing if I moved she'd only cry harder.

the first chapter is done! i have t started working on the next although i'm sure it won't be long as I already know what i want to happen.
