Just one more kiss

A few hours had gone by with the two just sitting, cuddled together softly speaking to each other as Lillie had lost all interest in wanting the older woman out, in fact she had never felt happier to have Kehlani on top of her since the night they had broken up almost 2 years ago. A lot had happened in those years as well, after their breakup they tried to remain friends and co-parent Lillie's child that they had raised together from birth in fact they met while she was 9 months pregnant and ready to pop any day by that point;

(flash backs) *
Lillie was scrolling through apps with no intention of doing anything important, just distracting herself from the rapid kicks and movements coming from inside her, "any day now bubby, I'll be meeting you soon" Lillie whispered into the night rubbing her belly getting frustrated that she was alone with nothing to do. Her parents were sleeping one room over though so not a lot could be done to pass time as she didn't want to risk waking them, their house was old, the doors and floors creaked with almost every movement made and considering it was well past midnight she decided to open an app she hadn't looked at since she fell pregnant. Tinder. The red app had a few notifications but she hadn't dare open them for months until tonight, as she looked past the messages she had received from past matches all of them saying something either cheesy as a pick up line or a link to another social media app they preferred to talk on she decided to go back to the main page and began looking through profiles. Swiping left on almost every one of them until she saw the most gorgeous face staring at her through a silly snapchat filter. As she looked through the bio and the few other pictures the profile had she couldn't help but smile and think to herself about how life wouldn't be so bad if she had that beautiful face to smile at when times were hard. Swiping right it instantly came back as a match, Lillie wasn't one to send the first message but something about this girl, Kehlani, made her not want to miss a single second waiting.

It was almost a week later and the two of them had been messaging almost every minute of the days that had past, a few facetime calls had been exchanged leaving each completely speechless as they took in the others beauty. Lillie was at the hospital this time though, a late night appointment set up by her midwife who had told her that she wasn't available and so the hospital would be her next best choice. Smiling away to herself messaging Kehlani and a few other friends the updates she had received herself a midwife walked in, big smile on her face as she introduced herself, it dropped a fair bit as she explained to Lillie that she would have to be in overnight and induced the next morning though, Lillie's eyes filled with tears fearing the absolute worst and that her unborn child wasn't as healthy as she had been told however the midwife was quick to explain that it was purely because a few tests had come back wrong from earlier in the pregnancy and it was instead a high risk pregnancy that needed to be ended quickly in case it turned for the worst and at that Lillie's fear rose as the hospital midwife walked out. Kehlani was there the next day, their first time meeting in person, due to Lillie's pleading the woman gave into the young ones wishes and came to see her after Lillie had been induced and taken a nap. They spent the day chatting away while Lillie tried to hide the pain of the early contractions however concern filled Kehlani as she spoke "Lillie-Rose what's wrong? are you okay? is it time? oh my-" she was cut off  by Lillie's voice, "I hate that name" she mumbled "please don't call me that, just use Lillie. I'm fine by the way, it's just a small contraction" she smiled at Kehlani not wanting to scare her off by being unnecessarily harsh on the poor woman, she didn't know that the name was hated after all.

A few weeks later and Lillie was back at home, Kehlani checking in all the time asking how the small child was, and of course how Lillie herself was feeling. Lillie had decided that it was time for the two to meet and so they spent the day together, at one point Lillie asked Kehlani the question she had been wanting to ask her for the last month "will you be my girlfriend?" the knots in her stomach making her feel uneasy but desperately wanting the beautiful hazel eyed woman to answer her, Lillie's question was answers with a kiss on her lips ad the other woman eagerly nodded her head yes, arms wrapping themselves around each other in a tight embrace.

Kehlanis POV:
"Bub? you awake?" Lillie's soft voice filled my ears as I slowly nodded my head yes even though I was so close to drifting off to sleep on her soft chest "come to bed, we'll talk more in the morning" I couldn't help the smile that crept across my lips as I stared up into Lillie's soft blue eyes, I wanted nothing more than to fall asleep in her warm embrace once again and so, I whispered back a simple okay as she slowly stood, taking me with her as she carried me down the hallway into her bedroom. I fell into an almost asleep state to a soft kiss on my forehead as she laid me down fixing herself beside me as a whimper escaped my mouth at the feeling of being alone yet again however that was quickly replaced by warmth and comfort as her arms found their way around my body once again and as I wriggled closer to the heat source I placed a hand on her back and let a smile fall on my lips once again as she started humming alone to the music knowing that she was afraid of the dark, and being left alone with her own thoughts so I knew she always had music playing. Tonight's selection was something she hardly played anymore, 1Direction.

I seem to have all the energy in the world to write this, I already know what's going to happen next but I actually need time to write it this time, i feel like these are kind of sloppy and rushed but oh well. surely a future version of me will edit these again and fix whatever they aren't happy with 😊
