After getting ready and taking lots of guts I took my first step in the school bus but surprisingly the bus stopped a few metres from my stop which never happened and it was the first time I could look back at my grandfather crossing the road after leaving me in the school bus.
That was the first time I got a glimpse of her face, it was as innocent as a small kid as I could tell it. She sat on the middle row seat as I was sitting 2 seats before the conductor seat. After arriving at school I had to report to the teacher that I'm all well now and inform them that I'm blessed to have a teacher who helped me in such a critical time.
After ten minutes of well wishes I asked them my class and went looking for it. As I stood in front of my class it was the technical first time i could see her without hindrance and including me and her we were a total of three kids in the classroom.
For some reason I never remember what was the first of words we exchanged but what I remember was after around one week and we were best friends holding hands on the way from bus to class and she was the first person with whom I never felt awkward. The friendship which started on wimp strengthened as the day grew. There was a day when she saved me from boys picking on me which I repaid on the alphabet oral test from behind as our roll numbers were in line. And our final exam came closer the only trouble was if our section were going to change next year.
