The staredown was long but after a few menacing glances, Arilo lost patience as he went for a head-on attack at an incredible speed. The king dodged faster as he used the hilt of his blade to slam down into Arilos back making him lose all momentum and break the ground under him gasping in pain he held his back as the king picks him up by the hair and looked at Arilos pain and grinned under his mask.
"You are nothing but a pile of rubble under my immortal feet." He then thrashed his head into the broken floor over and over again. Arilo then goes flying through the air into a wall where his body gets imprinted into.
"Maybe I'm in over my head. I'm not good enough. I can't beat a god. I'm useless. I'm nothing."
A voice in my head retaliates...it sounds...so...familiar, like I heard it before. "No, you're not! You're a hero son! Keep going, don't give up! You are stronger than him you just haven't seen it yet! you will win! remember what I said! she will save you as you will save her! It's only a matter of time! You have to win for her Arilo!"
Her....her!
Arilo opens his eyes as his face looked like it got run over 20 times by the same car fleshing dangling from his bloody eyes as the king slams him onto the ground once more assuming he's dead and looks at him on the ground almost laughing.
But Arilo stands on two feet and one eye open as he leans on his blade blood pouring out his face like a fountain. The king looks at him somewhat impressed.
"You survived that attack, I have respect. But a promise is a promise. It's time to die now."
He raises both his fists and spins them around in the air but as he's doing so Arilo leaps at him with the rest of his might and tackles his heavy body to the ground canceling the attack and getting blood on his armor, The king effortlessly pushes him off and onto the hard floor again.
"Ruthless... reminds me of myself, I'll end you quickly so your already dead body can rest easier."
Arilo stumbles onto his feet holding his arm in pain as his blade is in his other barely even standing he watches the King repeat the spell.
"Goodbye, Arilo."
In the blink of an eye, thousands of what look like pitch black needles come shooting out of the king's body, a speed so fast not even the keenest of eyes could tell it was moving. Arilo closes his eye and braces for his demise. But it never came.
He opened his eye as Araka is falling to the ground like a withering flower, with millions of tiny punctures all over her body.
Arilo looks at Araka as he hurriedly stumbles to her and catches her before she hits the ground, He falls to his knees due to still being weak and severely hurt.
"A-Arilo..." A tear rolls down her eyes as Arilos's tears fall onto her broken body.
"A-Arilo, I-I'm sorry I didn't g-get here sooner..." Arilo shakes his head
"You'll be ok, I promise! We gotta get you out of here." he squints at the pain they are both enduring.
The king swings his hand to every known exit and locks them shut. He chuckles under his breath as his eyes go dark.
"This is much better than just killing you."
Arilo looks at the king but Araka caressed Arilos blood filled cheek and he focuses back on her.
"Araka...Why?"
"Arilo, I-I l-love you."
Her face slowly goes pale as her hair falls from her eyes revealing marvelous bright green eyes. her arms and legs go limp and the life that once run those marvelous eyes was gone. her bright and cheery body grows cold on the bloody hands of the multibond. Tears trickle down to Araka's lifeless body as if those tears could water a withering rose.
"It should have been me...It should have been.."
"You are right it should have been you Arilo. But now your precious lover is dead." He chuckles, "Funny what love can do to you." The king's face grew sad for a split second with that statement.
Arilo gently places the corpse on the ground in front of him and looks at Arakas blood-stained dagger and grasped it with rage holding it with his blade in his other hand. He looks up at the king and stares right through the king's bloody eyes even sending shivers down his spine.
A fire grew inside of Arilo as his eyes glow an even brighter orange than when he was fighting the knights, his gut grew angry as his heart was shattered. "You're going to pay."
In a blink of an eye Arilo seemingly teleported in front of the king and slashed at the king's face knocking the helm he was wearing right off his face. His dark brown hair falls down to his lower back as his red and black soulless eyes show everything else. No scars on his face yet his eyes show a thousand.
"Damn you..." The king whispered under his breath as Arilo seemingly teleported again dropping his blade and making a fist, he ended up behind the king but he swiftly turned around and blocked the jab with his own blade which made Arilos knuckles bleed. Arilo ignores the counterattack and Sliced down Arakas dagger. The king blocks with great effort due to Arilo's pain. Faster, Faster and faster each attack is becoming.
Arilo grunts and pants with little to no effort going into the speed he's at. The king's eyes show emotions of fear and worry as he is starting to struggle to keep up with the true speed of the multibond when motivated enough.
The more Arilo increases in speed the more he seems to be getting hurt due to his human body not normally being able to go up to the speed he's at. Though he doesn't care as he keeps going faster yelling through his broken heart.
"RAHHHHHHHHHH!" With that scream, Arilo summoned his blade into his hand and swiftly and effortlessly breaks through the king's defense spells and his Dragon scale armor through his soft yet rough skin out the other side.
The king looks at Arilo his eyes showing an emotion that wasn't there until this given moment. Freedom and Hope. "The bond of motivation can carry you miles," Arilo whispered under his breath
"A-Arilo." The king coughs up blood that drips down the side of Arilos's blade.
Arilo stays quiet and looks at the king.
"T-Thank you...S-so..." With those words, he Falls limp on the blade with his soulless eyes, and the suffering body was gone as Arilo takes it out of his bleeding stomach and The king's body falls to the ground near Arakas. The king held a grin. holding a dagger in his hands that had the same exact pattern and hand gaurd that Arilo has on his blade.
A black mist that radiates hate and despair slowly rises from the king's body and dissipates through the air and the battlefield as any leftover husk knights become themselves again.
Meladore looks up at the castle balcony and grins,
"We won." She raises her sword, "We won!" the surviving knights yell in victory raising their weapons and throwing their helmets in the air.Arilos comes barreling out of the castle gates holding Arakas body. Arilo himself is barely breathing but Araka is...gone.
Jasko and Meladore notice and came rushing through the crowd of people who surrounded the Multibond and his dead lover as he gently places her on the ground and collapses onto his knees looking down at the withered rose. The army cut the celebration and look at Araka and Arilo.
Meladore and Jasko stand behind Arilo as The mighty dragon lands behind the three and bows down.
Meladore noticed Storis running off tears plummeting to the ground. She then looked back at Araka and tried staying strong for herself but the tears where too strong as Jasko and her take a knee and before they knew it the entire army of humans, creatures, and Zovins father took a knee and stuck their weapons in the ground in front of them and closed their eyes. The silence was too loud.
Arilo then takes Arakas bloody dagger he had and gently placed it on her breathless chest and slowly placed her soft hand over it making it grasp it a tear rolling down the tip of the dagger.
"We won, Love."
