I walk into History of Magic at a comfortable speed, never being late has its perks. My smug smile disappears too quickly though as I spot Pansy in the chair next to mine. Since she was transferred to this class for misbehaviour, it's been so much harder to focus on History.

I used to love this tiny classroom with its worn wooden tables and bookshelves lining the walls. It was cosy but now everything felt too close with her here. Especially the seats, I never noticed just how cramped they were.

The skin on my thigh always burned once in contact with Pansy's like ice into a pan. Sometimes I suspected she purposefully knocked our legs together just to annoy me. I approach our table and sit down careful to avoid her pale skin.

Professor Binns asked us to take notes this lesson then immediately retreats to his office. He couldn't even try to pretend to teach us. I guess when you're a ghost those things cease to matter.

"So Granger, why are you so tense?"

"I'm not tense." I can feel the heat creeping up my neck as I scribble faster.

"Oh please," she readjusts herself slowly leaning in towards me, her face mere inches away as her eyes search mine. She pulls back, "I can read you like a book."

Something in the way she say it makes me shiver lightly. Must be the breeze.

"Have you ever actually read a book?" I retort with a smirk.

She frowns and for a moment I want to reach up to her face to smooth the crease between her eyebrows. What a bizzare thought.

"I have actually," she starts. "The Kama Sutra. Heard of it?" she smirks.

"Ugh you know you really are a-" I suddenly felt her fingers press against my knee.

I look down at them sharply ready to shout curses down her throat. But as they drift lightly over the skin just above my thigh. Then higher. The fire died in my chest. My lips parted unconsciously as I stared at her hand on me.

"Sorry," her eyes locked with mine and her voice had dropped two semitones. "You had something on your thigh."

I couldn't remember what I was trying to say. I could always count on myself to cite heaps of information at any time but it was as though everything had flooded out of my brain.

Her smile grew slowly as my eyes were transfixed on her soft looking pink lips.

"Granger. Hey, back to earth?" I heard her annoyingly perfect voice say.

"What? Uh- yes, I- thank you." I clear my throat snapping my eyes back up to hers. They looked almost black but I knew that was impossible. Her eyes were a gorgeous brown with little hazel fleck in them.

God. What is wrong with me? I never had this problem with Ron.

I adjust my skirt in the mirror for the millionth time expecting it to somehow sit more comfortably on my hips but to no avail. I was slightly conscious of the fact the fabric only dropped a few centimetres over my bum but I let it slide. Tonight Seamus was throwing a secret party in the Gryffindor common room so Luna, Parvati and I were all getting ready together, an eager Ginny sat in the corner watching.

"What do you think, Moon?" Once in first year I called Luna, Moon and since then it's just caught on.

"You look so hot... even I'd fuck you." she says eyeing me through the mirror.

"Well good thing you're not who i'm thinking of." I meant Ron but someone else's face popped up in my mind. I shook my head quickly.

We finished getting ready and made our way to the common room. We only heard the music once we were inside. Seamus had got Dean to cast a silencing charm so the prefects wouldn't hear.
