The buy

Well, it seems that I'lll be doing this, at least it could be a good place to write my findings, first of all, how did I find this game?

It all began some days ago (as of now, it's May 16, 2015), I think it was Saturday? Sunday? Idk, but I can assure you it was during the weekend, after being awaken by my alarm and got ready to start the day, I decided to browse throughout the internet for a while to see if I could find something.

You see, I was searching for a Sonic games, it isn't my favourite franchise by far but I enjoy playing the games, specially the 2D ones. To date I've been wanting to play all of the games of the original trilogy and CD, the latter being the game I was searching. Unluckily, at least in eBay, all the copies I find are either way too expensive or don't sell the game with it's console (I normally prefer playing games in a console rather than a computer because I prefer playing in it's 'original' format (as to say). Aside, all the keys ends up messing with my mind).

At least until that day. After searching lots of time once again, I found an article which caught my eye, it came with the name 'Sonic Jam: Director's Cut'. I can't recall the exact description of the article, but it claimed to be an early version of a Sonic game compilation which was only released in Japan which had stuff the original Sonic Jam doesn't have, one of this 'new' stuff is the inclusion of Sonic CD. And, for the cherry on the cake, it was really cheap, like those Play Store games that cost around $5-$15.

At first I got excited, finding such offer felt like jackpot, but, the more though I put into it, the more weird I found the offer, because I've never heard of such thing, as you all may know, Sonic Jam was an actual compilation of the original Sonic trilogy (& Knuckles of course) but only those (it is claimed by many to be the best Sonic games compilation to date, but I still need to try it out). And now I stumble with this so called 'Director Cut' of said compilation, at a really low price and had the game I searching all along.

Unfortunately, when I came to those conclusions, I've already bought the game... I really need to stop being so impulsive. I was about to decline the buy, but a though came to me, 'What if I just actually let the buy happen?', of course, the idea of having a game which such self-proclamations was curious, aside, if it was a scam, then why the low price? It could have been sold at a way higher price with that title. I even ponder the possibility of this being a really obscure case of Lost Media.

I know, it sounds crazy, after all there's no evidence on the internet at all about it, not even mentions of it's existence, but, as the saying goes, 'Curiosity killed the cat' (I might have been a cat in one of my past lives if I'm really this curious). With that though in mind, I made my decision and see what happens, after all this is a once in a lifetime scenario. At least I'll finally be able to play CD (hopefully).

And that brings us to the present, sitting on my sofa and waiting, the intrigue and fear of being scammed growing in me by the second.

Now, I guess I'll wai

*Knock, knock*

'Huh? Someone's at the door? I really wasn't expecting visits, maybe is the mailman?... Don't get your hopes up, I'll check out and then end this chapter'. I stood up from my sofa and walked to the door. Which was right behind the sofa.

*Knock knock knock* "Yeah, I heard you, no need to be impatient" I said as I was about to open the door 'someone seems to be in a rush'

I opened the door and... Well, speak of the devil.

Mailman: Is there someone here called-?

"Sir, excuse my rudeness, but I'm the only person living in this house, anyway, what did you bring?" I said a bit impatient.

Mailman: Are you sure? You could be just living in this house and not be the receiver.

As he finished his sentence I showed him my ID so he could check it was me.

Mailman: ... Ok, you're the receiver.

"Yeah, sorry for that, I hate when strangers call me by my full name"

Mailman: ... That's weird.

"If I had a penny for every time somebody told me that"

Mailman: Anyway, here's your mail.

As he said that, he gave me some letters that I'll check later, I'm not interested in them right now.

"Thanks, anything else?"

Mailman: Nope, that's all

"Sure? I'm expecting a package of sorts, are you sure you don't have one?"

Mailman: I got a lot of packages to deliver now sir, but I assure you that none of them have your name.

That was the last thing he said before heading back to his car a bit rushed. I guess he was actually in a hurry *Sigh*, guess I'll have to wait more, a shame because mailmen are really rare around this block. I went a back disappointed, at this point the waiting and intrigue feel endless. Well, it's no use to cry over spoiled milk, I'll check those letters now.

I sat on the sofa again with the letters in hand.

"Let's see... Taxes *throws the letter*, some coupons, I'll save them for later *throws the letter with the other one*... More coupons... And more and... God, companies really like to give coupons nowadays *throws them with the other letters as well and grabs the last letter (well, this one isn't a letter, is more like a wrapper)*... This one feels heavier than the others... I wonder if..."

I took the wrapper in my hands curiously, and then ripped it apart... It seems, it actually was my lucky day after all, I need to write this down itso-facto!

Who would have though, the package with the disk (or rather the envelop) has just arrived! It comes with a letter as well.

Now, I have this peculiar disk in my possession, it has no color whatsoever, just a shiny and blank CD with no alterations, I'd like to read that letter as well, but it seems to be in another language (I guess those are called Kanjis? Idk).

The letter isn't that important anyway, it's probably a 'thanks for the purchase' or smth. I'll check what this disk has to offer, I'll write down when I have some news, time to try this out.

Word count: 1133 (I wonder why people write these down)

And here it is! My little experiment of a book is here, this is just the first chapter for now, I'll be busy the next weeks and probably won't update until, like, November or December. It'll probably have the typical beginner mistakes that all the books of this kind has (bad grammar, cliches, etc)

Anyway, hope you like it and, if you do, consider following the progress of this book and leave any constructive criticism in the comments, see ya next time!
