sensory overload

Leo hated this. There was so much going on. There was construction going up on the surface and it was causing the sewers to shake every now and then, and it made him really upset. The noise in the lair was only adding fuel to the fire. Donnie was in the lab, fixing the shellraiser, and it was an extreme amount of noise. Raph and Mikey were in the kitchen arguing about something that most likely Mikey started. All the noises plus the vibration of the room made Leo very uncomfortable. He tried to listen to music to blur it all out but no matter what, he could only focus on the noise outside. He later tried meditating, only to fail and come back to the real world.

Leo felt so weak in this moment. He hated the fact that he was feeling this, hated himself for feeling this way. Raph and Mikey must have stopped arguing cuz he hears raph call Donnie and him to come down for dinner.

Leo couldn't move.

No matter how hard he tried there was too much going on even if Raph and Mikey stopped fighting, The Vibrations/noise from the construction on the surface and the noise from Donnie's lab was too much. Donnie must have not chosen to go eat, since he can still hear him working, which was normal for him. Whenever Donnie was working on something he would usually never go down to eat, it's always been that way. Unlike Donnie, Leo ALWAYS went down. No matter what. In fact he would usually be the one trying to convince Donnie to come to the kitchen to eat. He always wanted everyone to eat together, it was the one of the only times they could be together and talk about stuff that wasn't due to a team building activity. Although right now he feels like If he went down to eat he'd definitely only feel more panicked.

Panicked?

Why was he panicked? It's not like this was a battle with an enemy. This wasn't the Kranng or the Shredder. Even then he was more calm than he is now. Why were these noises bothering him? It pissed him off on the fact that he couldn't understand why he was feeling this. "Please.. Please be quiet" he begged, clapping his hands over his ears. Who was he begging to? "Please" god this was embarrassing. 'What is wrong with you Leo?' crossed his mind. 'You've fought bigger issues and this, THIS is what's getting you upset?'

His thoughts were broken when he heard a knock on the door. "Leo, there's no way I'm going to eat Mikey's food alone, I need someone to regulate me before I do something he's gonna regret." raph yelled. Leo didn't respond. He couldn't respond. "GOD DAMMIT LEO ANSWER ME!!" raph screamed, now irritated. Leo could feel the tears start forming in his eyes. 'No no no nonono NO, not know. Don't start now leo.' he cursed himself. A choked sob escaped Leo's lips.

He couldn't stop now.

"LEO I'M COMING IN" Raph screamed now in concern. Leo's eyes widened. The last thing he wanted was for raph to see him like this. Raph kicked the door open and Leo jumped. "Leo you.. you alright" his voice softened. God Leo hated this. Leo opened his mouth only for nothing to come out other than a cry.

Raph stood there awkwardly, unsure on how to treat his older brother. It was strange seeing his older brother like this, Leo was usually the stoic one, he was the leader after all. "Uh..

You.. uh wanna eat..?" raph asked nervously, obviously not knowing what the hell he was doing. Leo stared at him with tears in his eyes. Right when he was about to say something the ground shook with the construction up above. Raph didn't think anything of it until he heard Leo let out a frustrated scream and start hitting himself with his arms. "HEY! LEO IT'S ALRIGHT!" Raph panicked, now running towards Leo. He grabbed Leo's arm, which caused Leo to look at him.

It was now, raph was actually getting a good look at his brother. He could now see how shaky Leo is, he can see his eyes being puffy and the confused/overwhelmed expression on his face. "Leo! Stop it!" Raph screamed in concern. 'Stop it? Is that even possible?' Leo thought. "I-i-ii" Leo couldn't say anything and let out another sob. He shook his arm weakly trying to get Raph to let go, but failed. The uncomfortable feeling only increased when Raph grabbed him. Raph kept holding his arm to prevent Leo from hitting himself. There was a loud bang and then a lot of shaking from the topside and Leo let out another scream and started struggling even more to escape Raphs grasp. "LEO, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU" Raph screamed in a panic. 'What's wrong with him? God he wish he knew'
