"Leo come one!"

He laughed as he ran on the earth. The midnight sky watching over them, stars glittered and and flickered. Crickets chirped, Bats squeaked, owls cooed. Wind blew, leaves shook, branches bent.

"Ash!"

A shorter man landed behind him, stumbling as he quickly ran behind him. His large white and golden wings stretched out behind him before folding close to his back. Jet black hair flew out his face as he ran, looking unruly and messy. The wind had gotten to it when he was up in the sky soaring overhead.

"Just a little further, Sunflower!"

'Ash called back, taking a glance back at Leo, who was finally starting to catch up. Ash looked back forward, grinning widely as his own pink hair blew in and out of his eyesight. He ducked under a few branches. His pearly white wings lifted the branches for a few more seconds so Leo could quickly sprint forward through them before they bounced back.

Now running side by side, Leo reached out and grasped Ash's forearm so he could match their pace better.

They ran and ran through the seemingly endless expanse of trees and shrubbery. Ash shook Leo's hand from his arm, only to reach out and take Leo's hand in his own. They kept running.

Soon they pushed through a final layer of branches and bushes, coming across a wide grassy field, speckled with patches of wild flowers. The full moon is visible overhead.

"A.. field? Really?"

"Trust me, c'mon."

Ash looked down at Leo, a big goofy smile on his face. Leo stared back. He couldn't stop the smile that twitched onto his face.

Ash gave Leo's hand a short squeeze and flew up with him, taking out to the middle. They carefully landed. Leo gave Ash a questioning look, raising a brow.

"Did you bring me here so you could murder me, or some shit?"

Ash laughed at his friend's words, a hand coming up to over his mouth as he giggled. He shook his head.

"Of course not, just watch"

Ash spread his wings, releasing Leo's hand as he took a slow step back. He dropped his wings down slightly so the long feathers touched the grass before doing a short twirl. Fireflies erupted from the grass where Ash's feathers brushed. They buzzed up into the fair, blinking and twinkling beautifully in the air. More seemed to follow as the sky was quickly decorated by the beautiful dancing lights.

Looking proud, Ash turned to Leo. His breath got caught in his throat for a second.

Leo was gazing up at the flies, looking mesmerised. His eyes wide and sparkling with the reflection of blinking light. His mouth was slightly agape and head tilted back. Quite attractive, Ash thinks.

He cleared his throat, catching Leo's attention.

"Well well, Sunflower. Care to dance?"

Ash dramatically bowed down, holding a hand out to Leo, the other behind his back, a wide smile on his face.

"You know damn well neither of us can dance..."

"Can't hurt to try, right?"

Leo sighed quietly, staring down at Ash who beamed hopefully at him. How was he supposed to say no to that offer?

"... Fine."

Leo placed his hand in Ash's outstretched one, who intertwined their fingers and stood up straight. Ash took a step closer and put his other hand on Leo's side.

"I've only seen this in a movie, so I have no idea what I'm doing!"

"I know."

Leo rolled his eyes and put his free hand on Ash's shoulder.

"I think we do like.." Ash muttered as he began to move his body.

He took a slow step forward, pushing Leo to take a step back, the shorter stumbling a bit. Then they took a step to the side together. Then this time, Leo stepped forward towards Ash, said man stepping back and to the side with Leo.

They repeated this, stumbling a few times as they almost tripped over each other's feet. Their bodies swayed as fireflies danced around them, as if to join in their little waltz.

"I wanna try spinning you!" Ash suddenly spoke up, taking one hand off Leo.

"What-"
Before Leo could fathom a response, Ash held his hand up in the air and used to to force Leo into a small little twirl. The unexpected movement caused Leo to lose his balance, crying out as he stumbled back.

Ash also cried out, reaching out to catch Leo, but he himself tripped over Leo's feet somehow and they were both sent flying into the grassy floor beneath them, both yelling in alarm.

Ash caught himself with his arms before he fully collided with the shorter angel below him, preventing Leo from being squashed like a bug. They blinked open their eyes and stared at each other.

First there was a snort, then a small wheeze. And suddenly, Ash had burst out into a fit of giggles, which erupted into loud bellowing laughter. He rolled onto the floor beside Leo. Clutching his stomach with one of his arms. His hand pressed against his forehead as he wheezed and cackled into the night air.

"It really wasn't that funny." Leo cast an unamused look to the man howling with laughter beside him.

Ash couldn't even get any words out between his giggles.

Leo could feel a smile creep on his face. He quickly composed himself and pressed his mouth into a fine line. But eventually he just couldn't hold it. It started with hushed chuckles and giggled before he too broke into laughter. Much more tame and quiet, but he was laughing. The sight of Ash choking for air as he laughed so much it was painful.

Ash's laugh was contagious, and so was Leo's to laugh. Quickly they found themselves unable to quit laughing.

Ash sat up right, gasping between his giggles. It wasn't even that funny, but for some reason he couldn't stop laughing about it. Leo's confused tone mixed with the expression of slight horror as he stumbled backwards off balance. Then his absolutely flabbergasted expression after they'd both fallen. Oh god! He's never seen such expressions on him!

"S-Shut up! AHAH-!" Leo wheezed, raising a hand to aggressively slap against Ash's leg.

"I C- BAHAHA- CAN'T! AHAA-" Ash bent over as he snickered.

Soon, after laughing themselves silly, they were once again sprawled out on the grass beside one another, panting, out of breath from the torture they'd just endured.

"I hate you..." Leo coughed, still catching his breath, chest heaving up and down heavily.

"No, No you don't."

"Oh, I really do."

"You looove me!"

"Keep dreaming."

"Dude! Ur so cruel!"

I know it's pretty short

I just think these two deserve some more fluffy moments together. <3
