Episode 11: Old Wood

Before leaving, Aera had bread in her mouth and saw a pile of small building blocks on the table.

"It's not time to go to work yet, let's just play for a while."

Aera muttered to herself, her fingertips settled on the building blocks and began to pile up a little bit, trying her best not to let herself think about the fact that she had been cheated on.

But not long after playing, the building blocks clacked and fell into pieces.

"Oh, why can't I always pile it up?"

This might be her characteristic.

Then Aera glanced that it was getting late, and she went out in a hurry.

When she arrived at the company department, Aera found that the department was much busier than before.

Today's female colleagues were all dressed up, and they gathered together to discuss something with each other. Later, when Aera silently returned to her seat, she was noticed by her colleagues.

One of the female colleagues who had a good relationship with Aera on weekdays spoke up——

"Hey, Aera, didn't you ask for leave yesterday when you weren't feeling well? How are you now?"

"I feel so much better now."

Aera didn't want to talk about these issues anymore. As soon as she said this, she thought of taking a day off yesterday to accompany her best friend to the hospital, and then those unpleasant things happened.

The door of the office suddenly opened, and a group of people walked toward him. The first thing Aera noticed was the man in the lead.

The man was wearing a tailor-made suit, and the cuffs of the white shirt under his wrists were just the right distance, making him appear rigorous and unruly.

The man was very tall, so tall that he stood out among a group of flattering leaders, especially the peach blossom eyes on the corners of the other side's eyes.

Wherever he swept his gaze, there was a commotion in the heart.

Even the most serious deputy manager on weekdays seemed to be a different person at this moment, carefully following the man with the document in his hand.
