I got an interesting headcanon for Engineer! This fanfic also explains Engi's backstory! It's gonna get floofy so buckle up!

Let's begin!

Summary: Ethan Carter, also known as Engineer, is a boy from a poor family that runs depending on how well their farm-work goes. Engineer meets a beautiful yet a humble girl who turns his miserable life into a joyful one.

Angel and Dum got curious and wanted to know about how Gnome and Engineer met and how they got into a relationship.

*Third person POV*

It was a normal evening in America. Gnome and Engineer were sitting together on a picnic mat, admiring the sunset. "Awe.. Isn't the sunset lovely, Ethan..?", she asked, putting her hand on Engineer's. "It is.. Not as much as you, though <3", he flirted with her and she blushed at that compliment. Just then, the couple saw two girls, which seemed very familiar. They were both sitting on yoga mats, and were meditating. Curious to know their identities, they got up and desired to ask. But, before they could even reach them, they recognized the meditating girls. "Huh? Cadence? Jessica?", Gnome asked, which grabbed their attentions on the call of their real names. "Ethan? Vivian? What are you guys here for?", Angel asked. "We came here to watch the sunset together. Like, a picnic date!", Gnome exclaimed, clutching onto Engineer's hand. "Awe! That's so sweet! Asher and I used to do the same thing before he got with Ryan. Damn, I wish to get a lover soon.. My little brother got married before I even got into a relationship haha-", she said and everyone laughed. 

(A/N: For the newbies, Cadence Harper is Angel's real name (since angels play the harp) and Jessica Davis is Dum's real name. I have said this before but will say it again, Ethan Carter is Engineer's real name, and Vivian Walker is Gnome's real name. And for Captain, his real name is Asher White. And lastly, Ryan Miller is Stoner's real name. These are my headcanons. Also, Dum's little brother, you know him as Player or Isaiah Davis (his real name in my headcanon), got married to Veteran (or call him Benjamin Jackson) in a chapter called "A Misunderstanding to a Big Surprise". Go read that to know more.)

"Heh, yes. But Isa and Benja love each other truly, though. Aren't you mad that your boyfriend, Asher, left you for a guy?", Gnome asked her best friend. "Nah, I don't mind. He said he needed some space alone and we're still good friends. In fact, I am happy he found a guy like Ryan to date. He's cool!", she said, carefree of all worries. "Indeed! But, I wanted to ask something about you guys..", Angel cuts in, turning towards Gnome and Engineer. "Hm?", Engineer questioned. "How did you guys get together? Like, what happened which bought you both with each other and tied the knot?", she asked. "I wanted to ask that too! Since you guys love each other so much, why not tell us your story?", Dum adds to the question and Angel nods. "Eh, it's hours long. You guys will be bored..", Engineer said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Ah, no. We are just curious! I mean, if you don't want, then it's alright..", Dum said, looking at the ground. "Don't be sad, bestie! I'll tell ya!", Gnome said, not wanting to see her best friend sad. Engineer also finally agreed. They both settle down near the girls, and Gnome begins. "Alright, it was a long time ago, back when we were around 11 or 12.."

*Backstory starts*

*Engineer POV*

"Hufff huff... Come back here, you all!", I shouted at the herd of goats who were charging here and there, as if they've gone crazy or something. I go by Ethan. I am a farm boy. I work for my family by farming and that's how we earn money to keep the family going. I live in a hut with my other family members. The hut is right in front of our farm and the cattle-grazing land we use. My father also works as a farm labourer for large-scale farms. While my mother takes care of the home and does the household chores. I work at the farm alone, and also take the cattle to graze on the grass. I am grateful to God because I at least have a straw hat to prevent myself from getting skin cancer.
