(This story takes with my OC Lilly Morgan-Wier)

Lilly's POV

I flip through the pages. I saw that spell when I first got this book. As the sounds of my parents fighting off the vampire's rage outside my bedroom door, I flip through my spellbook. I finally breathe a sigh of relief when I find the page I'm looking for—a way to lose your powers and become human. I know my parents would say I'm taking the easy way out. Every night we are attacked and I can't take it. Yes, I'm skilled but I can't take out 30 or so vampires when I just wake up. With this spell, I can return my magic to the earth and never get it back. That's good. never is good as I look over the spell the sound of fighting dies down.

I shut the book and tuck it under my pillow. My dad (Ethan) walks in. "It's over, for now," he says, kissing my head. "How's Papa (Benny), "I asked. "He got hit really bad but he'll be fine. You know your Papa is strong nothing can hurt him for long. Good night princess," He said and left the room. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. It's all my fault. If I never had this blood then the vampires would stop and my family would be safe. I needed to do the spell as soon as possible and the possible was tomorrow after school. I may be the daughter of the school principal (Benny) and History teacher (Ethan) but I'm still a student which meant I can't skip school without them knowing.

As the next day approaches grab my spellbook as I get ready for school. My dad smiled softly at me and I force a smile and sat down. "So nothing too bad happened right," I asked and Dad nodded. "Don't worry princess, nothing can happen that we can't handle," He said and then papa. "Hey B," he said kissing him softly. Papa hummed and kisses the side of Dad's head. "Ew," I commented. "Definitely your daughter," Papa said to dad to which I stuck my tongue out at him.

We all got in the car and my eyes kept flicking to my bookbag. Was I even doing the right thing? I had to be. I was protecting my family. There is no need for anyone to suffer because I was born differently. The look on my parents' faces tells me that they are tired, but they are still smiling at me. I turn my face away from them and look out the window as the town of Whitechapel passes by. It doesn't take long for the school to appear, and I feel sick.

I get out and walk to my locker. The seven hours pass by in a blur. As the final bell rings, I run outside and to my backyard. I open the spell book and start chanting. "Abri Duan Pad Libir Ditchir Kun Gukiin Appendaga Regoria Combibo Potentia Portallus Projectum Reverto Meus Ops Mihi." The sky turns dark above me and the clouds start turning into a vortex as I feel some of my magic being taken away. I focus on the spell making sure to keep it stable so I don't hurt anyone.

"Lillian Isabella Morgan-Wier, "I hear a familiar voice. "I'm sorry Papa but I see you get hurt because of me any longer, "I say. "Lilly we would do anything but this isn't the way to solve your issues, "I hear him say and try to get inside a forcefield I made. "I can't handle it. Every night it's the same thing. Hissing and magic spells as the rest of the town sleep. I'm not strong enough to keep seeing you two getting hurt. You are everything to me and if this is the only to stop those stupid vampires to stop them so be it, "I say as more magic gets stripped away from me.

"Not if I can help it," Papa says. "Abaeo Exorior Botigs Zaborito Carpis Nebegear Gais Liphan Intruders Utien," he says and starts to reverse my spell. I feel my powers return as I cry out in defeat. Once the spell has been fully reversed the forcefield falls and so do I. Dad runs and hugs me tight as I try to get out of his arms. "Why? I didn't ask for these powers. I don't want them. people always get hurt because of me. I'm a monster, "I cry. "We all are Lilly. None of us are normal. I hated my powers at first too. I thought I was a freak until I other freaks and fell in love with now I've known forever," he said. "You guys were really dense," I say with a few hiccups as the tears had stopped.

"Lilly we had you because we wanted you. We chose you. Having you may have brought unseen hardships but I don't regret a thing. Neither of us does. We never complain because it's what we have risked to have you. the vampire council told us that if we have you then we'll be under fire and we said to bring it on," Papa said. "It all happened because of me, "I said now even more distraught. "Benny, "Dad scolded.

"Lilly, look at me, "Dad said. I did as he asked and he wiped my tears away. "Lillian Isabella Morgan-Wier you're not a burden. You're our daughter. Protector and part of Whitechapel's best-kept secret. What did I tell you when you accepted the position," he said. "You don't have to do this alone, "I said quoting him.

The three of us stayed there for a while. We went home and had a few days to recover. I felt much better after that. Then one night I was awoken by the fight. I wasn't sitting back this time. I threw my quilt to the side and rushed outside. "Lilly what are you doing, "Papa asked. "This. Eradico Estotei Quasai Integumentum Imatari Proximum, "I said and teleported them away. "Okay I need to learn from you, "Papa said ruffling my hair.

I smile and pushed his hands away. As I thought back to what tried to do I can't believe I tried to get rid of what made me special and what made me special. I looked at my hands and took a deep breath. My name is Lillian Isabella Morgan-Wier and I protect Whitechapel from external and internal factors.
