Staying up

(This oneshot is based off of a headcanon i have btw thank you so much guys for the 100 reads on this! i'm really happy you guys like it!)


it is one night at the house Robin's favorite part about moving into a new house is because he gets to have his very own desk to read his books he was always a bookworm and wants to be a book writer one day 

his part of the room has green walls,a desk,bookshelves,a candle and some pretty blue lights to light up the place

he wants to be a book writer so bad he would stay up all night sometimes reading books to get ideas to write his own books one day and tonight is one of those nights

Robin is sitting on his chair looking at the book reading it word by word he felt he was slightly getting tired but that won't stop him

Harry finally comes home from work 

"Hey i'm home!" Harry kinda yelled to let everyone know he's home as he is walking to the bedroom

"Oh! welcome home Harry!" Robin replied with his voice slightly sounding tired 

"Robin? are you okay?" 

"Yeah i'm fine! just reading a book!"

"you sure? you sound tired"

"I'm fine!"

"alright..."

Harry goes to his side of the room it's not as decorated as Robin's but he likes it like that plain and boring 
Harry has to do work from home so he goes to his own desk,turns on his computer and starts working 

Few hours later

Harry is still working he turns his head around to see Robin still there reading his book and he looks even more tired

"Robin i think you should sleep now" Harry said to Robin who is now pretty concerned 

"No i need to finish this book!" Robin replied not even looking at Harry

Harry sighs,gets up and walks over to Robin

"Robin please go to bed you don't need to stay up all night to read that i'm worried for you i know you like to read but you still need rest" 

"No! i'm going to stay up!"

Harry didn't know what to do at first but then he got an idea
he picks up Robin from his seat

"QUACK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Harry walks over to his own side of the bedroom and sits down in his chair with Robin on his lap 

"I'm going to keep you on my lap while i work until you agree to go to sleep or just fall asleep right here" 

Robin blushed a lot he did not expect this type of thing from Harry he was blushing so hard he literally froze not knowing what to do

An hour

Harry is finally done with his work and looks down at the duck to see he finally fell asleep with his head leaning on his chest
Harry smiles knowing his duck is finally getting rest 

he wants to make sure he gets all the sleep he can get.
