"Where are you taking me?" I question, pulling up my mask as we leave a dark alley. "I'm about to change your life!" she jests sarcastically. "Well then by all means lead the way."

Jinx yanks my arm and pushes me into the outside wall of The Last Drop. "Ouch" I say in monotone. The cheery girl shushes me violently before swinging the door open and running in with the creak echoing throughout. I glance inside and see the Bartender cleaning a cup. Jinx sneaks up by the counter as quick as possible and sits down.

"Chuck!" The bartender leaps back with a gasp, dropping what's in his hands. While he is focused on her, I walk in and close the door behind me. I cross my arms and stand behind her, my eyes trained on the brunette man she is bothering.

He stumbles a few steps, glancing fearfully at me, before stuttering out "Thieram. uh... My name is Thieram." She sits up and rolls the gemstone carelessly down the bar behind her. I reach out and grab it before it goes too far. "Nice try, chuck!" she scoffs and taps the wood twice. He glances to me, and I shake my head. He then pulls out a cup with scribble on it from when Jinx was little. "What's all the hubbub?" she leans back and holds her hand in the air. I toss the smooth stone into her hand. Thieram stiffly pulls out a drink and uncaps the bottle, "Boss wants us to grab someone up." She tosses the gem up and balances it on her finger. "Someone. Anyone?" she pops up the gem and catches it "Who are you grabbing?"

He stumbles over his words as he slides the cup, accidentally pushing it passed her. "Some girls." he answers, capping the bottle, putting it away and freezing. I grab the cup that she's ignoring and carefully reach around to place it by her hand. She snatches it up and places it by Thieram. "I mean, I mean not... I'm not grabbing girls. Oh, other than the... those ones... I guess." He drops a straw in her drink.

"Focus. Who are they? Why weren't we invited to the party?" she rolls the gem on the rim of her drink. She drops her 'toy' into the juice. "Uh, I don't know." Jinx sucks up the Ball and holds it up with the straw as he chatters nervously. "They... they got in a fight with Sevika. They did a number on her." My heart drops just as fast as the gem she drops in her drink. I place a hand on her back, signaling to wrap it up. "Oh, really? Which number?" she slurps her drink. "It's uh, like a saying..." she leaps onto him, and he stumbles back in shock of the hug. "You're doing great chuck!" she hops off of him and I grab her drink she's about to forget. "Here, for your troubles" she skips away as I follow close behind, not looking back as I hear him tick down.

It was only a paint bomb, lucky for him.

"So, you wanted to leave. What's up?" she questions, spinning around and skipping backwards. I wince quietly at the question, and she quirks a brow.  "Is this one of those - It's really important I don't tell you so find out yourself - kind of things?" she tilts her head. I pull my handkerchief down and sigh. "Yeah. Promised Silco not to tell you yet." I hang my head. She squints at me before pulling me into an alley.

"Spit it out." she orders me. Usually, I would correct her on ordering me around. But I don't have the energy to right now. "Listen, it's really bad and I don't think it's right to hide. But he's trying to protect you. So please promise not to be mad when you find out later through whatever scheme I know you're planning." Her eyes widen slightly at my breathless rambling.

"Fine, I promise not to be mad at you." She grabs my hand and squeezes it. Moments later and she is dragging me down the road cheerfully again.

I groan impatiently as I adjust on my bed. Jinx is doing whatever crazy plan she came up with and I assume it worked. Thumping footsteps can be heard echoing through the halls. My door swings open and shut, in seconds, Jinx spinning about my room. "Take my braids out?" she hums, plopping on the edge of my bed. I nod and scoot closer, picking up my leg and draping it off the bed. As I take out the clips and unravel the tangled hair, her face is blank. I want to ask what she's thinking about, but I know what it is.
