Broken-Hearted

The only broken thing you cannot fix is the heart.
Once it all has shattered, and all torn apart,
No bandages or medicine can make it be mended.
When your heart is truly broken, it seems like your life has ended.

My heart was broken, and my whole life was changed.
The world was flipped upside down burning, turning, and rearranged.
Everything moved as if in slow motion,
Silent sounds broke through all the commotion.

A broken heart is sad but real.
Don't ever tell me it's something you can't feel.
Broken hearts feel ripped and shredded,
The pain of cause is deeply embedded.

No words or actions can make it alright
All you can do is not give in, and fight.
For nothing hurts worse than a broken heart,
If you live through the bad, you'll find the good part.
