I prepped dinner and came out to see Ming standing at the door looking like a lost puppy. I was half tempted to laugh but decided to hold it back. I can't be all lax with him.

I stared at him and he quickly hurried over, sitting down to eat. I stifled a chuckle and we both had an early dinner around 6. I realised he barely touched half of it. I observed him as he stirred it around and Posh's words came to mind.

I sighed softly, he still needed to eat. I decided to make him some porridge instead. I went in to boil some instant ones and added in a pinch of salt and flavoring along with some scallions and a hint of red chilli. I came out with the small piping bowl of porridge and he looked at me curiously.

"You still need to eat Nong. Maybe some porridge then? Here try some."

Ming tried it and surprisingly he had an appetite for it. He finished it off and I smiled softly at him. I cleaned up whilst I made him rest and then I gave him his medicines. He took it and went to rest whilst I took a shower. I came out to see him on the bed, completely out. He must be so exhausted. I felt his head and it was still a little warm. I put on a fever patch and then I did my work at the table whilst keeping an eye on him. Around 10pm, Ming stirred awake.

"Hey, you ok?"

"Hmm. I'm.... actually..hmm..."

I looked at him in confusion. Then it hit me.

"Are you hungry?"

He nodded his head embarrassed. I didn't say anything and I went to the kitchen to make him a bowl of noodles, asking him to wash his face and sit at the table. He washed his face and came to the kitchen. Ming watched me quietly from the door. I turned to see him and beckoned him over. He quickly shuffled over and just held onto me. Ah, I wasn't expecting that. What was with this boy?

I realized he was still nursing a fever and felt my shirt wet. I looked down to realize Ming was sobbing.

"What happened Nong?"

"Nong...."

I sighed softly. "Ming, what happened? Tell me now."

"I just feel terrible. Sickly. I don't like this feeling. I feel tired. I feel..I miss my..." Ming trailed off.

"You miss your mum? I know it's not easy. And it's even more so when you are sick but know you have people who care. Like Posh. And I'm here too. Eat something, take your meds and water, rest and repeat the cycle. You will feel better soon ok?"

Ming just nodded holding onto me. I stirred the pot with one hand whilst holding onto him. I swore if anyone saw us now, they prolly just think we are clingy boyfriends 101.

I finished off the noodles and then told Ming to have them. I sat with him, making sure he ate. He finished them off and had his medicines again. He waited for me and then crept into bed. I just sat next to him, playing my game. He struggled to sleep but I held onto his hand for a bit and then he dozed off.

Eventually, I found myself wide awake, just sitting next to a sleeping fellow who was holding onto my arm tightly. I looked at him as he slept.

I ended up dozing off in that position. I woke up around 7am and found the bed empty. I was abit alarmed. I stood up and looked around and found Ming at the balcony, freshly showered and just drinking some water. Seeing that he seemed fine, I decided to go shower first. I came out, feeling less tired despite the lack of sleep.

"Hey. When did you wake up?"

"P Lam.. around 5am. I felt much better and sweaty so wanted to shower."

"Let me feel your temperature. Hmm, it's definitely better now. Think you broke the fever. Hungry?"

Ming nodded earnestly. I told him I will go buy something for him. He then held onto my hand and stopped me. I looked at him confused.

"P... Is it ok if you did the porridge for me instead? I quite like your cooking alot."

I nodded and got him to accompany me too so he can be distracted too. He helped me cut the scallions and chilli whilst I prepped some chicken and boiled the porridge.

We had lunch and then we gamed together for abit before settling down to watch movies. We were halfway through our 1st one when Forth called me, inviting me to go drinking. I was tempted as I missed hanging out with the boys but I also knew I didn't want to leave Ming by himself given that he was just starting to recover so i rejected him. Forth tried really hard but I just rejected and hung up.

I didn't realize that Ming was listening in. 5 minutes post the call, I finally heard  Ming utter, "You should go out P. I hope you didn't reject him because of me. That would make me feel worse. I'm better now. You should go.."

"Nong, no.. its not that.."

"Please go? P Forth must really be expecting you and you need a break too."

I wanted to retort but Ming persuaded me otherwise. I just told him to stay in my dorm whilst I went out and came back. He nodded eagerly and smiled. I changed and went to meet the boys.
They were so surprised to see me and we had a good time.

I made my way back around 2am and found Ming whimpering in his sleep and tossing. Imagine my horror and the anger I felt when I realized his fever was back again and this fellow didn't call me!

Ming was so dead in my hands. I quickly sponged him down. I texted Forth to say I wouldn't be in class the following Monday and I explain when I'm back. He said ok and told me to take care. But his replies barely went noticed as my attention shifted immediately to Ming who was shivering now. I sighed, set for a long night.

Wait till he got better, he would be dead in my hands.

[Author's Note: and I wonder why you bother looking after Ming if you going to kill him Lam. Tsk tsk]
