“Why did you tell me about it just now?”

Sunoo was freaking out. He seriously didn't know what to do next. He's turning eighteen three hours from now and he's really excited to finally talk to his soulmate, even though he knew it will be a one-way conversation.

“You didn't ask,” Jay shrugged, flipping the pages of the book on the table.

“What should I do? What if my soulmate can't understand me? What if—”

“Stop over-acting,” Heeseung said, trying to calm him down. “It's still not too late to study English.”

Sunoo dramatically lays on his bed, tears literally falling off his cheeks. Heeseung tiredly sighs.

“This is your fault, Jay,” Heeseung said, glaring at the boy calmly sitting on Sunoo's study table.

“I didn't do anything,” Jay countered. “I only said my experience about talking to my soulmate first.”

Heeseung turns his attention back on their youngest and most dramatic friend.

“My soulmate can't understand me either when I first talked to them,” Heeseung said, trying to ease Sunoo's panicking mind. “I talked to him using Korean only to hear from him months later saying he couldn't understand a thing of whatever I've thought. That was why I started studying English this late, only so I can communicate with him.”

“But—”

“Shut up, Jay,” Heeseung cuts him off before he could say anything that can set Sunoo into max panic.

“I lived in America so I already know English ever since I was a child,” Jay continued. “I only said I use English in talking to my soulmate because it's a universal language. For all I know, my soulmate may not even understand English too. They can be from other countries who don't speak the language.”

“Like...China? Japan?” Sunoo curiously asked.

“Indonesia, Taiwan and many other countries, too,” Heeseung said.

“They can be in any age range, too.” Jay added. “Since you haven't heard from them, they must be younger than you.”

“Really?” Sunoo asked, tears forming back on his eyes. “I'm doomed then, what if my soulmate is a new born baby!”

“There are some cases that their soulmate is already dead—”

Sunoo's loud whining echoed in the four corners of the room.

“I told you to shut up!” Heeseung kicked on the chair where Jay is currently sitting.

“I'm only stating facts—”

“Well, fact you,” Heeseung said, rolling his eyes. “Make him stop.”

Jay looked back at a crying Sunoo on the bed, already feeling tired by the thought of making him stop from being over dramatic.

He sincerely loved Sunoo, as a friend, but in times like this he's literally doubting his love for him. Sunoo is a great person, but his dramatic personality is just too much to handle.

“I'll help you translate the first words you wanted to say to your soulmate,” Jay said.

In a blink of an eye, Sunoo excitedly sat up on the bed and smiled at Jay.

“Really?” Sunoo hopefully asked, his eyes sparkling brightly again.

“Hm,” Jay responded. “But only for tonight, you have to study English by yourself.”

“I'll enroll in Heeseung's club after the overall evaluation next week,” Sunoo said.

“What about your college entrance test?” Heeseung asked.
