The world doesn't deserve her...

Y/N's pov

After a few months of living with Jinx and her family, I was 18. My birthday went and we celebrated with getting my first drink and so on. It was very enjoyable and I'll never forget the experience. Other events happened as well.

We finished high school and got accepted into colleges, Mylo and Claggor moved out together, Ekko moved to another city, Vi and Caitlyn moved in together a few blocks down and Jinx was still here with me.

We were going to the same college and had some classes together but still, change was coming. I felt the change coming as we got our letters. Change scares me a lot and it's full of pain usually, but then again it turns out well in the end.

Today was our last week in the group home. New children and teenagers moved in but one got my eye, the daughter of the late sherif. Gwen.

Poor girl, her father was shot down in a gun fight, he was a good man...

The ginger sat alone in the living room and stayed quiet a lot, I felt sympathy as I was similar. I was isolated for years then I found my first friend, Charley.

I saw her alone again and sulking, I decided to go over to her and cheer her up.

"Hello Gwen" I said as I sat next to her, she looked at me and waved, "what are you up to today?"

She looked at the ground and put her knees up to her chest, she was wearing a long green dress which covered herself, and sniffles were heard subtly. I moved closer to her and stroked her back softly

"It's alright, you don't have to talk..." I said trying to calm her but she jumped into me and hugged me tightly, her tears were on my clothes and her sobs were muffled. She really misses her father...

Jinx's pov

I was out with Ekko today, he was visiting and was introducing one of his friends called Lux. She was a scholar learning science, specifically chemistry and physics. She seemed interesting...

The morning went well, we spoke about stuff. Nothing important to be honest, just general life.

It was now the afternoon and I missed Y/N...

I needed to be close to her but she was still at home.

We are moving in to a dorm room next week but still, i'm attached to her. Its unhealthy at this point... But then again she's the same in a way, she gets upset if I don't give her enough attention throughout the day and I was out today.

"Hey guys, I better go now. It was nice meeting you Lux!" I say and wave goodbye to the couple.

"Oh cmon I hardly see you" Ekko laughs
"Sorryyy~" i say and skip away

After a half hour of walking, I made it to the bar. I opened the door and saw the usual drinkers and some newbies chugging beer and shots.

I rolled my eyes and walked towards the stairs, once I opened the door to the housing area, I saw Y/N with one of the new kids.

Y/N was asleep on the sofa holding onto the child protective, the child was asleep and holding back. It was quite a lovely scene... I smiled and kissed Y/N's cheek.

I walked into the kitchen to make a snack, some other children were in their rooms making lots of noise which caused me to be slightly annoyed at them. Theyre kids i know but damn why are they so loud.
