Chapter 10

I awoke and rubbed my eyes. I was still tired but I felt it was time to get up. I was about to sit up when a woman came into my room and set flowers down next to my bed. "Thanks," I said, smiling. She turned to look at me and screamed a blood curling scream. Just then I looked into a mirror. To my horror, I saw what she screamed at. My skin was very pale, almost white. My hair was tangled and blood was here and there. My whole body had blood dripping from it. My eyes had big bags under it. My teeth were black and some of them were missing. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my back. I felt like I was gonna die.

I woke up, drenched in sweat. My heart was racing. My back hurt, just like it did in my dream. I sat up, my back feeling weird. I went to touch it when I felt something leathery. When I looked in the mirror, I saw wings, but not any kind of wings, black dragon wings.
I slowly started to make them flutter. My feet left the ground. "I can fly," I said. I made my way downstairs, making sure you couldn't see my wings. When Sakami, Kadashi, and Rory saw me, they gave me a group hug. "Hey guys," I say, "I have something to show you." I unfolded my wings as their mouths opened. I start to flap my wings and eventually take off into flight. "That's awesome," I heard them yell in unison.
