Nathalie's POV

As soon as I got home I fell into deep despair, I went to my room so that I could think. I started crying involuntarily and I couldn't stop it so I sat there for hours.

When it was around 11 o'clock I heard a knock on the glass. I got scared but wiped my tears and opened the window. I didn't notice anything, but as soon as I tried to close the window, Hawk Moth jumped on the sill. I got scared and jumped back violently.

What was such a villain doing at my house? From the short conversation we had, I found out that he wanted to know what triggered such strong emotions in me. It was very suspicious for me, but at that moment I did not think about it, I felt a strong desire to talk to someone.

-So?- He asked.

-Let's start from the beginning- I said.

He sat down next to me and stared at me as he waited for my story.

-I made a big mistake ...- I started.

-I am ashamed of what I have done, I have failed the trust of an important person ...- I continued, I looked at Howk Moth and he looked surprised.

-I didn't look after his son Adrien and he ran away from home- He yelled at me, I was very scared, he trusted me and I let him down - I cried and my hands started shaking.

Hawk Moth unexpectedly grabbed my hands and closed them in his embrace. I was surprised by his gesture and even scared me, but then he spoke to me in a gentle voice.

-Calm down, is this about your boss Gabriel Agreste?- He asked.

-Yes, it's about him- I replied.

-I can't stand that he just forgave me as if nothing had happened- I replied, and then I cried more.

All I heard from Howk Moth was "Can I?" I nodded my head so oh he hugged me to him. I felt the warmth pour over me, I felt his heart and its rhythm calm me down.

-Nathalie, we're only human, we can make mistakes, and Gabriel certainly understands that. You had the right to make a mistake and the most important thing is that nothing big happened.

-If only that was it ... but there is something even more important, I don't want to lose Mr. Agreste's trust because ... I ... I love him- I said, crying in my eyes.

-You ... do you love him? -I asked completely surprised and terrified.

-yes ...- I replied.

-I would do anything for him ... if only he would love me- I replied.

-Why don't you tell him about it?- He asked, although this question seemed silly to me at the time.

-He cannot come to terms with the death of his wife, there is no room for another woman in his heart- I replied

-Also, I feel like he doesn't need me anymore, he called me yesterday and told me to take my time off. May he not want to fire me, this is what I fear most- I honestly admitted.

-Maybe go to him and talk to him, he has forgiven you for a long time and he doesn't care about your pseudo-mistake- he said confidently.

-How can you know?- I asked

-I feel it- he replied

I thought for a moment. Then I moved slightly away from him to have some free space.

-I think you should go now, I'd like to talk to him, thank you- I said, wiping the angry one and giving him a smile.

-You're welcome, I know you can handle it, so go to him and talk- he said, getting up from the box and opening the window. When he was about to leave, I said:

-Hawk Moth- I said softly.

He turned to face me and I got closer to him and kissed him on the cheek.

-Thank you- I said.

He smiled, combed a strand of hair behind my ear, and left.
