Baekhyun was becoming soft but yet he wasn't convinced fully. What Chanyeol did with him that night, he can't forget that easily, not yet. So he needed to clear some more things.

"Okay, but why didn't you want to do that at the first place? Like, you could've gone with the flow and just fu-" he hesitated for a second and then decided not to use that word "you know just do that."

"Yeah I could've. But didn't want to." Chanyeol replied, his voice more calm than before.

"Why?" Baekhyun asked.

"For two reasons. One is I don't wanna see my fans in that way. And the other is-" Chanyeol looked up at Baekhyun, staring at him for a few seconds before continuing,

"I didn't want to be attached with anyone else other than you. And sleeping with them would be like a nightmare for me." Chanyeol's eyes were soft as well as his voice, trying his best to make the other believe in him.

"Me, huh?! Stop saying nonsense! You couldn't even recognize me that night but you still took me there and.." Baekhyun yelled from frustration. It wasn't making any sense to him.

"I know! And that's because I thought you were-" Chanyeol stopped for a moment and inhaled deeply. "-dead." It came like a whisper but Baekhyun heard it clear.

"Wh-what?" Baekhyun's voice trembled from shock.

"Yeah. Four years ago someone known of our family who was from China gave us this news." Chanyeol tried to stay calm though this topic was very sensitive for him. But still Baekhyun is healthy and alive in front of him, right? So he doesn’t need to be afraid anymore. "He said you and your parents died from a car accident." He completed and looked up to Baekhyun.

"Four years ago? Yes, we were in a accident and I actually lost my parents in that accident." Baekhyun's eyes started getting blurry. It’s been four years already but it still hurts whenever he thinks about them.

"I'm..sorry about that." Chanyeol said in a soft voice, noticing how Baekhyun stopped talking and was trying to hold his tears on place.

"It’s okay." Baekhyun came back to his sense as he realised this conversation here is really important so he shouldn’t be emotional right now.

"I was also in a critical condition after that accident." So he continued. "For almost a week I had life risk. At that time this rumour started that I was dead too. I think that's how that guy heard it. But after one week I was safe from danger and I started recovering too." He finished.

"Well, it’s clear that he didn’t hear the last part. That's why he told us that you are dead." Chanyeol gave the other a sad smile and continued, "Though I didn't want to believe it but I still had to. So, when that night you looked a lot like my Baek, I was confused. Because for me it was impossible. And that's why I asked your name but for all the noise there, I failed to hear it fully. And I don't know if it was the alcohol or my heart or your face but I didn't want to lose you that night." Chanyeol heaved a sigh while continuing to stare at the table. He didn’t have the courage to look at Baekhyun.

"I wanted some alone time to know you more. But after reaching that room, I realised what I was actually supposed to do after that party. And then I was afraid because I messed up bad. If I let a groupie go back like that my secret will come out to the company and my life will be a complete hell. And if I don’t want that I had to break my promise to myself, to not being attached with anyone other than you." Chanyeol felt his hands being sweaty from nervousness. Baekhyun was oddly silent for some moments so he glanced at him this time and saw him listening to Chanyeol while staring blankly at his fingers.
