I woke with start to see Sagittarius and Leo bending over me, shaking my shoulders in a vigorous attempt to wake me up. I groaned and tried to push their hands away feebly. I heard Sagi gasp.
"Ohmygosh, he isn't dead?!" She squealed, hugging me and crushing my ribs. I yelled a quick get the hell off me, Sagi before she let go. Leo rolled his eyes, putting one hand on his hip.
"I told you he wasn't dead," Leo snorted. "I love you, Sagittarius, but dude, you have like, three brain cells left." He pushed his hair out of his face and put one elbow on Sagi's head. "Shortie."
Sagittarius wrestled his arm off her head. "First of all, rude, I'm not that short, you're just tall; second, I really can't deny that I have only three brain cells." She started laughing hilariously to herself. I stared at her and wondered if she was crazy, not for the first time.
Leo ignored her. "Up we go!" He grabbed my hand and hefted me up so that I had to stand on my feet if I didn't want to faceplant the floor. I looked longingly at my bed and tiredly said,
"What time is it?"
Sagi regained control over herself. "That's really your first question? What time is it?!" She placed a hand on my shoulder and I roughly pushed it off. "I'm disappointed in you, Aries," she mocked, pretending to be sad and wiped off a fake tear. I glared at her, and she shut up quickly.
"It's three 'o clock," Leo answered for me. "You slept most of the day, and we figured you wouldn't want to be woken up." I glared at him too. I didn't want or need anyone to make decisions for me. I was a Leader! The only reason I have this role is so that I can help make important decisions!
I felt my face go warm. I had to change the subject quick unless I wanted my temper to explode for all to see. "Okay... well, how's Virgo?" I asked anxiously, trying to hide my anger. I wonder how in the Zodiac Scorpio's so good at hiding his emotions. At my question, Sagittarius and Leo share glances, suggesting multiple unspoken agreements. I was getting irritated. "Please, just tell me! Don't hide things from me!"
Leo furrowed his brow. "Virgo's fine, just a cough. One thing though... uhm, Virgo lost her powers," he added awkwardly. Sagittarius sidled up to his side a rested her head on his shoulder for comfort. "We don't know what happened."
"Caprisun wants us in the meeting room, though, to discuss. Apparently he found some old book that he thinks has the answer. But he won't say anything until all of us are present. As a precaution," Sagi explained, knowing how touchy I get when being ordered around. I huffed and headed to the bathroom, passing my closet and grabbing some clothes on the way.
I had pulled on the outfit to match my mood: sweatpants and a hoodie. Leo and Sagittarius are waiting for me at the door. Leo's tail-tip is twitching impatiently and his ears are pinned back. I inwardly laugh at his irritation, but instead I just gruffly head towards the door. I open it and start down the hallway, hearing Sagittarius and Leo following me. I get to the main doors, the one that leads outside, the one that serves as a portal for the others realms, and the door that connects the zodiac realms. I reach for that one and pull it open before storming inside, my lack of sleep showing in my mood.
Turns out that us fire signs were the last to show up; all the other signs are gathered around the central table in the living room. I take my place beside Taurus and Pisces, Sagi and Leo doing the same. I notice Virgo's absence right away, Libra taking her place instead. I guess Virgo's overprotective boyfriend Caprisun is keeping her confined. Eventually, Capricorn heaves a sigh and begins.
