My eyes are directed to the table where Sam, Kate and Nicholas are sitting. Within seconds I hear cheers and claps ringing in the whole cafeteria. Even got some pats on my back and forearm.
I gave a polite smile to everyone and took small steps towards the table and sat on the spare chair. There's thick awkwardness in the air and I am just stealing small glances of all the three.
Why aren't they saying anything? Did they not like it? I cleared my throat and finally said what I had in mind.
"Do I have to spell it that the song was meant to be an apology?"
Deafening silence. I released a long and tired sigh and turned my head to the right where Kate was staring at me with words stuck in her throat.
"I am sorry Kate. I just lost my mind when I...well, I don't have any logical excuse. I just care for you and Sam a lot and I really want you guys to work. Maybe around ten years down the line, I want your relationship to end with marriage and kids or pets and not with break up. That's all. Forgive me?"
"Gosh, you are the most gullible person I have ever met!" That came from Samuel.
"Sorry to you too Sam. I was mean to you as well."

"Don't you ever conclude about anything ever again! You don't have the brains for it!" She rolled her eyes on me with sarcasm and her eyes started tearing up.
"I won't dare to. Back to friends hug?"
Kate almost jumped on me and is basically crushing my back. She is the best friend one can ever ask for.

Firstly, I will never understand how girls get into tears so frequently. And secondly, can this punk stop pretending that she actually cares.
