Secret Sister

Chapter 1

I know this shouldn't have happened but I couldn't control it. My brothers are going to kill me, Iv tried to keep away for as long as I could but I just can't do it anymore. I need help and Im too stubborn to call any of them. I remember my oldest brother working at Chicago Med.

I walked down the street to be greeted with the big hospital when everything started spinning and getting more and more blurry by the minute. I started seeing things that normally isn't there as I entered the hospital where my brother works. I stumbled into the waiting room as things were flying around me and I was not able to focus on anything when I crashed into something or someone I'm not quite sure, but suddenly I'm on the floor behind something that looks like chairs when everything went black.

Ethan's POV

I was walking out in the waiting room to take my break when I saw someone laying behind the chairs. I walked closer to see a young girl laying on. the floor unconscious looking. I pushed the chairs away and crouched down to feel her pulse which is close to nonexistent. I looked up at the people in the waiting room.

"How long has she been laying here???" I asked out loud when no one answered me and it made me frustrated so asked out again.

"Did anyone see her enter the waiting room?" I yelled out as everyone just shrugged their shoulders when I picked her up and ran into the ED with her.

"Unconscious teenage girl, possible overdose, found her in the waiting room behind some chairs. I don't know how long she's been laying there" I said as Maggie sent me down to treatment 4 and I played her down on the bed as one of the nurses handed me some narcan. I hope it isn't too late. I pushed the narcan and short time after she woke up and started panicking.

"You're safe now. I'm Dr. Choi. Do you know where you are?" I asked her as she was hyperventilating when I tried to calm her down.

She avoided my touch and sight as she turned around.

"Can you tell me your name?" I asked her trying to put the oxygen under her nose but she she pushed me away and started yelling at me while hitting out after me.

"Leave me alone! I don't want any of your poison! Get away from me!" She yelled as I got Maggie to page Dr. Charles and let her be for now until he arrives when Will and Natalie came walking over to the nurse station and saw the scratch she had given me on my forearm.

"You got a troublesome patient or what?" Will asked as he chuckled a bit at me when Dr. Charles came over to us.

"I have a patient in treatment 4 who's resisting treatment. It's a young teenage girl she won't tell me her name or age and I think she's been drugged. When I tried to give her oxygen she scratched me and said she want any more poison" I said as Dr. Charles nodded his head and went with me into her room and greeted her slowly.

"Hi, my name is Daniel. Is it okay if I sit here?" He asked her as she turned slowly to look at him and nodded her head.

"What's your name?" He asked her as she was silent again for a bit when she spoke up quietly looking at him.

"Lucy and I'm 16 if that's what your next question is" She said looking carefully at what I was doing when Dr. Charles asked if I could give her oxygen and an iv as he reassured her it was okay and safe and April came in to give her the iv.

"Do you have any siblings?" He asked her as she refused to speak again when I saw a tear roll down her cheek. I know for experience with my own sister that not all sibling relationships are perfect. I went over to try and talk with her.

"I know this can be a sensitive topic for some people. It is for me. Why don't you get some rest and I'll come check on you later" I said as she nodded her head at me and turned around away from me and Dr. Charles as we walked out while I died my eyes thinking of my own relationship with my little sister who's only a couple of years older than her.

"Did you manage to get some more information about her?" Maggie asked looking at me as we were all standing at the nurse station when I spoke up. After Dr. Charles left the room she told me her full name and the name of an emergency contact. I feel like she's starting to trust me a bit which is good then I can help her more as well.

"Her last name is Montgomery and her emergency contact is Travis Montgomery. It could be a brother" I said as they nodded their heads and Maggie was typing it into her file. As I went to contact this guy, letting him know his maybe sister is in the hospital.
