Jaden rode his bike all the way back to town and straight to the police station and reported the incident to the police officers on duty.
Mr Walter Brookes, the commissioner of police, assisted Jaden for the truce between his parents and Mr Gates. The policemen all got to work, carrying guns and bulletproof vests and drove to the old warehouse together with ambulances. Jaden drove with one of the policemen there also. Mr Gates was caught in the act on the scene with a gun in his hand and a man laying almost breathless on the ground. Mr Gates tried to fire shots at the oncoming officers, but his gun ran out of bullets. That got him frustrated and sprinted off to a staircase in the warehouse and slammed an office door shut. The officers caught all the other men who were there, some wounded by the restless officers. Whilst the policemen were hustling to get into the office, Mr Gates devised a plan to flee. The police had had enough and fired shots at the office door and got in, but Mr Gates was not in sight. They searched leading doors and balconies on the exterior of the office and saw him, a belayer check climber in his waist and a knife in his hand. Mr Gates tried to escape but one of the officers tasered him, making him fall to the ground exhausted from his unworthy attempt to escape the premises. The man who was shot by him was taken to the hospital. Mr Gates was arrested and brought to jail for attempted murder, drug possession and attempting to cash a stolen cheque. Mr Gates paid for his sins all because of money and served life imprisonment without bail by the courts.
