PIPER ARELLANO, sprints out of her home to catch up to her twin brother, Robin Arellano. Its the twins first day back at school after the missing children's rate in their small town increased rapidly.

Although, the usual teen would be terrified of the thought of children being kidnapped, Piper, for some reason, enjoys the thrill of it.

The twins wait by their best friends house, Finn and Gwen.  "I bet Finn will come out first." Robin alleged confidently.

"You wanna bet? You always lose our bets." Piper exaggerated, turning to face her brother.

"Ten dollars." Robin held out his hand for his sister to shake.

"Bet." Piper replied, shaking his hand as they both stare at the door intently.

The door bursts open, and Gwen comes running out as Finn pants. "Sorry! I tried to get out first!" He calls to Robin.

"You cheat! You owe me 20." Piper slaps Robin on the shoulder.

THE MOMENT THE GROUP GETS TO SCHOOL, Piper looks for something thrilling to do. Usually, there's a fight before school for everybody to talk about, the main causes are Vance Hopper and Robin, the two being labelled as  'the toughest kids in school' by Finny's little sister, Gwen.

Piper didn't know Vance hopper that well, she'd heard rumours that he could fight and got mad too easily. Any sane person would steer out of his way. Piper didn't think like that.

The group wander around school, before Piper spots 3 boys, only sure of two of their names. Buzz and Matty. The kids that were always giving Finn hell. Finny follows Pipers eyeline, his eyes catching on the three bullies.

As the  boys walk past them, Piper pushes her foot out to trip up Buzz. "Sorry about that." Piper says immediately, meeting her brother eyes as he shakes his head and walks away with Finn beside him. She holds out a hand, offering to help Buzz up.

Buzz's eyes catch on her hand, having to do a double take as he sees what Piper is holding; his pocket knife. "My fucking knife!" He yells, causing the two other boys to snap back into reality, eyes flicking to the pocket knife in Pipers palm, before she closes her palm and bolts up some stairs.

She races through the school hallways, pushing past people with a quick 'excuse me'. Piper turns her head to see Matty, one of the boys, chasing her with his friend trying to catch his breath behind him.

"Piper Arellano!" She hears him yell from afar. she knew she was miles ahead of him, laughing to herself as she continued running toward Finn and Robin, who had walked away.

"Robby, catch!" she threw the pocket knife at robin, and he caught it, then looked at the initials engraved into it, B.T "buzz T". He shook his head and quickly stuffed the knife into his pocket, as Matty and Buzz sprint past him, chasing after his twin sister.

PIPERS POV

I hurry around a far corner, quickly scanning the hallway behind me to see Matty and Buzz doubled over trying to catch their breath. They'll never catch me at this rate.

I turn the corner quickly without looking at my surroundings, sprinting straight into a blue locker door, the force of the metal colliding with my face causing me to fall straight to the floor. I clutch my nose before standing up in anger, and slamming the locker door right into some guys head, "You bitch!" I yell.

As I pull the locker door back, thinking this situation couldn't get any worse... I'm met with the one and only,

vance hopper.
