Mei's absence from the original manga until the last chapters of the volume means that this book will be almost entirely original content. Certain characters' first names will be and have previously been used in Mei's Story that have never been said in the original canon nor will likely be said, as well as the sexual orientation of a few canon characters will be further clarified despite never coming up in the original manga.
The character of Mika Aihara and her story is entirely the creation of mine to further explain the reasoning of specific canonical characters and flesh them out more. Some may call her a MarySue, but that would disregard the actual meaning of that term and further disrespect the numerous real world cases of people like her.
I attempted to stay true to the original manga and its events as much as possible in this volume while continuing the story from the rest of this B-side perspective. As such certain characters and big moments from the original manga will not be mentioned or even known as Mei was not around and had limited contact with others during this volume. Other characters who had otherwise vanished from the original manga, but had a presence in Mei's Story so far will make appearances as they most likely would.
This volume will contain two Epilogues:
Epilogue A will be an extension of the original manga's special end of series extra and will contain slightly explicit sexual content. So reader be warned.
Epilogue B will be original content set much later and contain spoilers and my fan-created endings to ships, as well as an Easter egg for my fully original yuri content.
While this marks the end of the original Citrus manga arc. It is by no means the end of the story. There will be more volumes to come, covering the story of Citrus+ and the journey from where things end in the final chapter here to the start of Epilogue A. Mei's Story going forward will also gain a second POV character and a new title going forward. Mei's Story+Matsuri will include more original content and a shift in tone due to how things ended in the original manga and this volume of Mei's Story.
Remember that this is my idea of what occurred from Mei's perspective and where the story goes after the canonical end. It is the work of a fan of the original manga by Saburouta. If you disagree with the characterisations and original content of this series and mainly this volume in particular, I encourage you to write your take on it instead of attempting to argue with me or other fan creators. Just like how the group accepts Nene Nomura despite her refusal to acknowledge that Yuzu and Mei are serious about each other, or accept Himeko Momokino after everything she did in early volumes... the universe of yuri fandom and specifically Citrus fandom can accept that people are diverse and have different views and takes on things. Especially things they love. While we may differ, let us not divide ourselves and cause strife.
