"There's F!" N pointed out, looking at a silhouette that looks like F. "He's trying to attack V!"
True enough, V has his eyes widened, slumping on the floor as he walked backwards like a crab.
"I'll get him!" G shouted, the pain throbbing in his head, thanks to F trampling on him.
He started to point the gun towards "F", and pulled the trigger.
The bullet started to form a hole on "F", causing him to slump unconscious on the floor.
Except that something's off.
"W-What did you do?!" V cried.
"We shooted F, that bastard!" U pointed out.
"C-Come closer, so you'll know what I meant..."
Skeptically, the trio G, U, and N had no choice but to follow V; to go closer to the fallen.
"You killed the wrong person," V said softly. "She wasn't the person you have wished to k1ll,"
"A-A she?" N asked in bewilderment.
"Look closely,"
They started to scan the so called "she".
Then, the clouds parted, only to see-
"P!" G screamed, as U has clapped his hands to his mouth in horror, and N's eyes looked close to tears.
G couldn't believe it, he has just shot his soon-to-be-girlfriend. She even looks a bit broken, her body splashed with some black paint to make her look like F. The bullet hitted her heart, causing blood to stain her best shirt.
"How dare he... how dare he..."
And unexpectedly, G grabbed V's shirt and pinned him to the ground.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US!!" G screeched.
V didn't answer, his mouth at a loss for words.
Then, to U and N's surprise, G started to punch the guy underneath him, causing U and N to tug G's shirt from behind.
"Stop it G! Stop it!" N yelled, trying to pull him away but G swiped them booth aside.
"YOU LOOKED SHOCKED- YOU'RE BACKING AWAY-"
"I-I CAN EXPLAIN!" V screamed.
"What will you explain?" G said angrily, breathing heavily as he looked down at V, who has blood flowing down his nose. "P is dead, because you didn't tell-"
"I never even knew it was P in the first place! It was damn cloudy I didn't know it was her!"
"Then explain why you are backing away,"
"It's because she looked like F!"
"Then why did you scream 'wHat dId yOu dO?' after I shot her?"
G was particularly fuming. He really needed answers from that stupid V.
"It's because-"
"Stop that," P's voice came weakly. "Beating up and interrogating V is no use,"
That made G turn around and immediately kneel by her side. P can sometimes be a little distraction to him in the past. Just hearing her voice would stop whatever G was doing, even if he was diffusing a bomb.
"V didn't tell us it was you, that's why I killed you," G growled, angry tears flowing down his face.
"Don't blame yourself too, G. It was my fault. I let F kidnap me. I let him splash me with black paint while I was chained in the cave. I let him chop my hair to look like me," P whispered. "Pretty stupid of me, huh?"
"Then you should've told us it was you," U mumbled.
P smiled wryly. "I knew death would be looking for me at that point. Plus you're too far away to hear me. F... he slit my neck a bit to make my voice raspy like his. It was impossible to shout especially with what- your voice box vibrating against the bleeding wound?"
"Y-You can't just die, P," G said, his voice trembling. "I-I can still save you, right?"
"It's too late, G,"
Those words hitted G. Its too late... no, he should save her.
But P has a point, the bullet... it was in the heart, but luckily, she was still given time to speak. Otherwise G would have beaten V mercilessly till his deargh.
"But... But..." G's voice was trembling when P spoke again, her voice no higher than a whisper.
"There's only one favor I want to ask. Stop F for me, okay?"
G nodded, unable to speak.
Then, P closed her eyes, signalling her death.
"NO!" G cried, burying his head on the crook of P's neck.
Then, a voice in his mind, sounding like two women speaking came.
P's right, It's too late to save her.
Its too late to save her.
It's too late...
It's too late...
To tell her...
An "I love you,"
"Come on G," N mumbled from behind. "We'll have to find F before more people will die,"
G stood up and wiped his tears, his face stained with black paint. "You're right," he grumbled. "Let's go,"
Starting from there, G regretted killing her. It was a heavy burden on him which will affect him for the rest of his life. His soon-to-be-girlfriend is gone. And he should have no choice but to accept it.
He'll always remember this day, forever.
