Storytelling opens up a door to so many good attributes. It's such a unique way to project yourself. Fiction is such an easy thing to get yourself lost into. Poetry, literature, play writing you name it, it was all over your room and bookshelves. Nothing can compare to the fullness of a great novel.

Everything makes sense. It makes it feel like the sky is the limit. Your favorite thing in the world is to escape from the real world.

"y/n could you read next please?"

your eyes quickly drifted from the window back to your astronomy teacher, ms. gardner. her judgmental stare scanning your obvious distraction. she called on you on purpose.

you froze for a second, your textbook wasn't even open. what the hell was going on? a few seconds ago you were just entering the class looking at the board then taking a seat and everything went blurry.

"yeah umm.." you looked down at your desk and you noticed a worksheet on it.

your eyes narrowed looking down at the worksheet you were apparently given. suddenly you see a pencil pointing at a paragraph under the introduction for the assignment.

slowly you turned your head following the pencil to see the boy that sits next to you was pointing at it.

"read this" he whispered with a nod, his hair moving along with his movement. you've noticed how long his hair has gotten.

it was no other than karl jacobs pointing his pencil down to the paragraph you were supposed to read. karl jacobs that has barely said any words to you throughout the semester and now he was giving you a hand. this was so beautiful you almost wanted to photograph it.

and you began to read when ms. gardner cleared her throat.

"he did what?" Joanna gasped walking down the stairs with you. she almost pushed off some random guy getting in her way just to catch up to you and listen if the name you said was right.

you tried to contain your smile for a moment, it was hard not to smile when something straight out of a movie just happened to you. getting to the last step you open the door out to the hallway and almost squirmed in excitement.

your eyes moved over to Joannas seeing the look of desperation in them.

"yeah it was so cute!" you nearly yelled in a hushed whisper. "he was like 'oh we're here'" you said pointing down at the floor with a nod, trying to recreate the immaculate moment. "then he like nodded and his hair floofed up and down with it! i don't know how i made it out of that class" you laughed shaking your head.

Joannas eyes widened, she was as excited as you were. It was good to have a friend who's equally as boy crazy as you are.

"Hey wanna come over to do some homework?" Joanna asked, raising her eyebrows up and down.

Your eyes narrowed, questioning her real intentions. "Homework as in watch stranger things season 3 for Joe Keery and Maya Hawke?" It was a weekly thing by this point. Joanna looks away clearly embarrassed. You knew her too well.

"Ugh shut it" Joanna rolled her eyes crossing her arms over each other. "But yeah" She admits.

You were both walking to the student center for lunch. It was the only place you both got to talk freely without being bothered with annoying teachers telling you to do your work. This time was used to share edits and check out tumblr posts Joanna saved for you to read.

"Well sorry but I can't today. Remember the dumb play i submitted last year? Umm. The drama director actually took it in and auditions are after school today" You said timidly, fiddling with the sleeves of your sweater.

Joanna gave you the exaggerated reaction you were expecting. The way you said it so casually made her feel dumb for not following. "and you didn't tell me?!" Joanna gasped lightly slapping your arm. "Y/n that's cruel you hear me cruel!" Joanna nagged you making you chuckle. "Wait is it that story where the two big ceos get trapped in an elevator before a huge meeting and end up falling in love?" Joanna asked. Out of all your stories that one was her favorite. It was strongly character based and full of parts that made her believe that fictional men were so much better than the ones that she went to school with.

"I'm sorry! Okay i just got the email this morning it got read as spam I was supposed to know a month ago" You explained. "It's not that one though" you nodded. "There's a shirtless man in this one though you told me to add that part" You chuckle.

Suddenly Joanna's eyes lit up remembering that story you spent winter break last year writing. It was such a weird reality, inspired by a story you read in your Spanish class. It was heavily inspired by that, but with your own twist.

"Imagine if Karl auditions. I heard he's in the drama club. He'll make a perfect Martin!" Joanna inquired. She wasn't wrong. Martin was charming and loved by everyone in his town just like Karl. There's a small possibility you got inspiration from him.

"No why would he ever audition for my dumb play" you rolled your eyes, walking inside the class.

The theater was emptier than your bed at night. The play required less than 10 people, but you still would've liked a few more people audition for the additional roles.

Joannas quick trip to the chemistry lab to turn in her late assignment made you get to the theater late. The sets of eyes stared at you, your theater teacher getting up to take you to the table.

"Y/n where have you been" Ms. Anderson said once you were settled in the front row.

"Something came up sorry" you squinted your eyes to apologize while you took a seat.

Joanna looked around the people sitting around checking out the possibilities for the cast. Even though there was no sign of Karl there was one guy she was sure you will get fluster once you see. She was even taken aback at first.

You opened your computer, looking at the notes you made while creating the cast list.

"Noah Brown for the role of Martin step onto the stage please" Anderson asked nicely, her voice loud and clear.

Foolish was sitting in the back row. He was glad he never told any of his friends about the play. It was a small production made by the drama department so they will never know about it. He always wondered what it would be like to read from a script and play someone else. Also he needed to prove his parents that he's more than the typical basketball star of his school. He wanted to be more than a pretty face scoring into a basket. Foolish wanted his name to be known by something else at least for a couple people.

"Hello, my name is Noah" Foolish smiled as soon as he walked on stage.

You were checking out the google docs with the part for Martin. Your head was glued to your screen that when Joanna nudged your arm you finally looked up.

Holy shit.
