'Freaking alarm' I thought to myself, school is such a mess.. and plus I'm starting highschool... Things might even get messier
"Melanie?.. come on we're gonna be late for school so wake up" Melissa said..
Sometimes I wonder if I'm even related to her , we're complete opposites well.. maybe that's because she has ADHD, can't relate anyways
" I'm awake I'll come out when I'm done" I said
I just had to drag myself out of bed and go prepare for school
After getting set I wore my new uniform, socks, tie and a jumper on top .. and went downstairs to meet Melissa and Martin....
Going downstairs I met Maya
"Awww my little sis has grown to be a beautiful young lady, the uniform suits you soo well!" Maya praised
"Thanks big sis, I'll go downstairs now.. before mom-" I tried to say but got interrupted
"Yh I understand no need to say it all, common let's go together and have breakfast before we leave" Maya said
"Surie..." I replied
We went down and met everyone already seated, they all seemed to be staring at me.. but I couldn't care less they were my family after all..
I quickly walked towards my chair and had a sit.
"You happy about highschool loves?" Dad asked
"Dad! Are you kidding me?!
I'm so in a haste to start" Melissa said
"Well.. yes I am in a cool way" Martin stated
"What about you Melanie?" Dad asked me specifically
"Who.. me?- umm yess.. I'm happy."
I replied
"ok ok that's ok then, Common eat up before u guys get late.. your mom will soon be here " he said
"hunny I'm here' mum said as she came downstairs.. kids hurry and get in the car ..
I don't wanna be late I have a meeting today my 08:25am' she said
" umm.. I ate last night so I'm not very hungry... I'll wait for u guys in the car..
I said
Maya looked at me she knew deep down that I was lying and making it all up... What could I do..
I mean I just felt I wasn't even needed there ..
"unm ok.... mom? Maya said
" hmm?" Mom replied
" I can volunteer to drive the kids to school today.. if you don't mind " she said
" you want to.. ok sure , this way I wouldn't be late let me start going now... Hun I'll see ya tonight '.. she said to dad then left quickly for work
I wasn't even bothered but I was kinda glad Maya would be taking us.. she's so sweet to do that for me I just love her , Melissa was still excited about school whiles Martin was completely neutral about the whole situation
After eating I quickly went to Maya's car and sat at the front seat
Like I always do .. Melissa and Martin soon joined then Maya came in ...
we waved at dad and wished him good luck at work
The journey to the school was pretty boring with Melissa being a chatterbox for the whole ride and Martin obviously not even hearing a word that she says but still pretends he's listening..
" we're here! " Maya said as we reached the school gate
" yaaaaayyyy!!!" Melissa shouted
She was very childish, all I could think of right now were my best friends Louis, Margret and Cassandra.. I missed them so much and couldn't wait to meet them
