Damian had a confident smirk on his face as he saw how easily he could get Alec to lose his cool. "You shouldn't be so quick to anger, it clouds your thoughts." He confidently made his way down the last few stairs and quickly dodged a rogue fireball. "Now come on Alec, you're going to have to do something more original than that.
"You want original?!" Alec bellowed in rage "I'll give you original!" He got up and sent out a massive heat wave that was too tall for Damian to jump over and too wide to run around, all he could do was brace himself and cover his face. But this isn't enough; the force knocked Damian off of his feet and singed the hair on his arms. He fell on his back with an audible thud and the whole thing caught him off guard. Before he could get back on his feet Alec was almost on top of him, pummeling him with fireballs to keep him down. Once Alec reached Damian he punched Damian once in the chest to keep him from being able to regain his balance and to knock the wind out of him. Alec swiftly picked Damian up and wrapped him into what was ultimately a bone crushing hug; Alec began to raise his body temperature to levels that could destroy a normal person.
Damian was not expecting the onslaught that was upon him. He was being constricted to the point that it felt like his bones could break, he was disoriented from the constant rain of fireballs, and to top it all off he was being roasted alive; things were not looking up for him. He had to think quickly, he felt like Alec was his friend and would not crush nor roasts him alive, but he was starting to doubt that Alec's sanity was quite intact because of how exhausted he was and how enraged he was. "Has he left himself open in any way?" Damian thought "He has my arms pinned down so I can't reach my sickles. But I've still got my legs!" He practically felt a light bulb turn on over his head when he realized that he still had control of his legs. He began to kick Alec repeatedly in the same spot; his kicks weren't as powerful as he could normally produce because he was still being held down.
His plan seemed to be working as he could feel Alec's grip loosen from the pain growing below his ribs. After a few more quick hits to Alec's side his grip loosened to the point where Damian could bring his knee up between them and kick off of Alec. He sent Alec backwards and he went in the air, flipped and landed on the ground, ready to attack. He sprinted at Alec with incredible speed, unhooking his sickles in the process and connecting the ends together. He pulled them apart to reveal a chain from within the handles. Once he reached Alec, he tied him in the chains constricting his upper body "It's not fun to be tied up without the use of your body is it," he mockingly asked. With several swift punches to his back and a brutal kick to the back of his knee, Alec had one knee on the ground and was losing his balance. Before he could reach the ground, Damian ran around to his front and delivered a swift kick to his jaw, sending him backwards.
He landed on his back and could feel the blood trickling down his chin "Let me go!" He howled.
"And give you the chance of getting the upper hand, I think I'll leave you right where you are and let you figure out how to escape." Damian chuckled.
"You will regret trying to train me by pissing me off!" Alec's body temperature began to rise and the chains binding him began to glow red.
"Now that's just not nice, don't damage my weapons to make your escape," Damian groaned with a face that practically spoke 'Really?'
These words of annoyance did nothing to Alec in his enraged state of mind; he continued to heat the chains until they were glowing bright red. He flexed and pushed against the chains until they finally broke under the strain. "You'll have to do better than that," Alec sneered.
"You are so fixing that when we're through here," Damian growled in annoyance.
"Don't count on that." Alec blocked a punch from Damian only to be caught off guard by a knee to his ribs. He stumbled backwards and doubled over.
"I am disappointed in you Alec, I thought that after all these years you would have learned how to control your temper. Should I beat the sense into you, or give you another lecture on the subject? I think I will just show you how your careless actions get you into unfortunate situations." Alec started to roll over, but Damian kicked him in the ribs again to keep him down, "I'm not done yet, now lay there while I speak. I am running out of things to say on the matter of your lack of control; you're forcing me to treat you like a child, and I know you hate that. So, I say why don't you just take what I've told you to heart and make some progress? What do you say?"
"I say...rot in hell where you came from," Alec groaned through pained breaths and blood.
"Ooh, now that's disappointing," Damian said with mock pain in his voice. He wound up for another kick, and just as it was about to land on Alec's ribs again, Alec managed to block and catch Damian's leg.
"I would really appreciate it if you stopped that," he said in a voice that was beginning to not sound like his own. He gathered the strength to pull Damian down to the ground, grab his head, and slam his head into the floor...repeatedly. "I am so sick of your crap," he began as he got up. "I am going to make sure you never have a smart remark again. I'm gonna burn out that tongue of yours." A sinister sneer grew on Alec's face, the blood dripping from his busted lip and various cuts only added to the unnerving look that he had dawned.
"I think you need to calm down." Damian said as he kicked Alec's leg once bringing him down. He then got up and put some distance between himself and Alec, "I think you need some time alone, to think about what you've done today." As he said that, dense black fog formed came out from around him and made its way to Alec.
The fog completely enveloped Alec in a matter of seconds, from within it he could hear the sounds of souls being tortured endlessly. He tried to run from the sounds and to find an exit, but he couldn't. It was as if he were in a massive room with no walls or lights. It is pitch black in the fog, that aspect mixed with the tortured souls and the seemingly never-ending room was enough to send Alec into a terrified state.
He started screaming "PLEASE! LET ME OUT! I CAN'T SEE! MY FIRE DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY LIGHT AT ALL! Damian... please, this isn't funny." He stopped trying to run; he just fell to his knees and shook violently.
"That should be long enough to shake him up a little." Damian said to himself confidently. He released the fog and found Alec on his knees shaking. "Oh no, I hope I didn't break him."
A low chuckle could be heard from Alec, but it didn't sound like his laughter "Oh no, I'm not broken, I'm better than ever." He continued to shake as Damian realized he was shaking from laughter.
"Alec? Is that you?"
"ALEC, THAT WORTHLESS FOOL?! He's gone, I'm his replacement. You can call me Minus, cause I'm just so dang negative." He burst out into crazed laughter that seemed to make the temperature of the entire room drop.
"What are you?" Damian started to back away.
Minus lifted his head and what Damian saw made his whole body lose all warmth. His eyes were pitch black with the slightest edge of a black flame trailing form the corners, "I'm what you get when get when you mix one man's fear of torture and his infinite pool of hatred and anger. I'm what happens when you push one unstable fool too far. I am hatred and the thirst for revenge all put together. You might call me evil; I just say I'm misunderstood, as cliché as that may sound." He laughed again, making Damian shudder. Minus got up, his posture was high and mighty, pride and anger flowed from him like sweat from a fat guy chasing an ice cream truck. He ignited his hands and forearms in a black blaze. "I think it's time for us to have some fun, buddy," he sneered once more.
