Why did I have such rotten luck? Why did such ridiculous, stupid, or bad things happen to me?

Honestly, what did I do to deserve this? I know I didn't cut off a voodoo priest in traffic or piss off a witch to curse me- not that I know of, at least. So what had I done?

It seemed no matter how hard I tried something -whether it be ridiculous, stupid, or bad- something always had to happen to me. Nothing good ever came my way-and though that didn't bother me -it sure bothered my mother.

Speaking of...

My mother was going to kill me. She warned me that if I messed up the engagement with Brock, she would wring my neck.

I had no idea why I still stuck around her even though. Since I was an adult. I fucking hated that woman - with a passion - but she was my last living relative. I didn't have a choice in the matter- so I toughed it out- even though she had become more overbearing over the years.

I was only supposed to be gone for two hours, at the most.

Yet, here I was- in the butt of the woods- alone and trapped with some stranger.

To think this happened after walking out of the convenience store. Not that I could complain- since I would rather be here than with Katherine Reign and her husband, Lucas Stone.

Even this was an improvement from being at home. At least here I had some peace here, and a small semblance of privacy here.

Even if it was with a complete stranger.

I could feel his gaze on me as I sat there tied. Though he didn't make a sound- I could feel his enigmatic presence within the room.
I'm also pretty sure someone else is here. I can hear multiple footsteps walking around somewhere above me.

Even though I had lost count of how much time had gone by. I knew quite some time had gone by. It was too hot in here- muggy even- and I was beginning to get thirsty, from the heat of the room.

"Hey! Anyone! Can I please have some water?!" I called one of my captures. "Please, someone! Help!" I cried out, coughing as my throat began to feel grainy.

The footsteps alerted me that I was, in fact, being guarded by someone.

"Open your mouth." I heard a smooth masculine voice say.

For a brief moment, I panic thinking this is it, I'm going to get killed or something, before I realize my hands are still tied behind my back, and my eyes are still covered.

So, I do as I am told, and feel like the tip of the straw, as it poked my bottom lip before I parted my lips wider and wrapped my lips around the metal straw before I began to drink greedily, causing water to drip down my chin, and onto my shirt. Wetting my chest, and neck like a messy child.

"Thank you." I sigh, licking my lips again.

As I flexed and unflexed my hands, My hands were slightly numb, from the bindings it held, and I couldn't see a thing from the blindfold that was placed over my eyes.

"No problem..."

I could feel his gaze on me, as I sat there blindfolded. It had been some time since we reached this place, so why was I still blindfolded? "Is this necessary? I already said I would give you guys all the money you want. Why do I need to be blindfolded? You were all wearing face guards, sunglasses, and caps either way." I wondered.

I heard my guard dog let out an exasperated sigh, as he made his way over to me again.

"We're not interested in your money. Your stepfather is in debt with Howard Stark. Mr. Stark is the one interested in getting even." My capturer said.
