I shot up in horror at the loud crack that echoed into my ear. I whimpered at the huge wolf that was squeezing his way into the hole. He didn't take his eyes off of mine, his grey fur was thick and long. He wasn't an alpha. Thank goddess. Without a second thought, I punched him square in the nose before slipping through the now wide hole. I ran. I pushed myself so fast that I almost tripped. I could hear him behind me, but I didn't want to change to my wolf. I would fight him in human form. If I could, I was going to hide again. I didn't know how that would work though, so I decided to slip off the dress and change.

In seconds, I was running again, the fabric hanging from my mouth. I refused to change in front of a stranger and be naked. I saw the fence quickly coming up, so I took a sharp left. That was a mistake. It was a huge mistake. His huge body bowled into mine, knocking the wind out of me. I noticed through the trees one of the cabins. It seemed empty, and I started panicking.

He pinned me to the ground, gripping the back of my neck with his teeth. I growled and snapped at anything, trying to throw him off of my back. It wasn't until I could feel something huge press against the back end of me that I twisted enough to bite his face. I instantly darted away again, putting all of my effort into running. I'd twisted my paw when he tackled me, but I pushed through the pain and continued to sprint across the woods. I could hear him falling behind, but I wasn't about to stop. Until I reached another tall fence.

I tried to stop, but with my speed, I slammed into it, yelping at the impact. My paw got caught in the chain link. I let out a terrified cry at the sight. I ripped back, but my foot was stuck firmly in between the metal. It was so twisted and tight that any struggle was cutting it open.

I flung around with a snarl as the huge wolf caught up to me. He howled in triumph, slowly walking closer. With the remaining bit of fight I had, I snapped at him. I warned him that he would get bit if he came closer to me.

As I jerked around particularly hard, I let out a pained yelp at the pain shooting up my front leg. The huge wolf took this chance to pounce on me, making the pain even worse. I let out a terror filled howl, wishing that I could just free myself. As if hearing my call, a ginormous black wolf charged out of the trees, ramming into the male on top of me.

As the male fell back, the newcomer scented me quickly, growling at the now angry grey. But before anything could happen, the large grey male backed down, turning away and bolting off. The alpha that stood over me watched until the scent faded away.

Then, he turned to me and tried to work on my poor paw. I held still enough so that when he gently bit down to pull, it slipped out with a bit of struggle. As soon as he dropped my leg, I sprinted off. I didn't get far, collapsing at the stabbing pain that crawled up my foreleg. The black wolf quickly pounced on me, holding me to the ground once again.

I fought against him, whimpering in fear and frustration. I finally nipped his leg, and he loosened his grip. I tried to escape, but he quickly trapped me once again. I howled in fear, trying to at least position myself where he couldn't take advantage of me.

He didn't move. He just pinned me to the ground. His nose was pressed to my trembling neck. I noticed this, and slowly stopped fighting. His tale wagged slowly, and he continued to stay in that position. He didn't make a move to hurt me or mark me against my will, and I relaxed completely underneath him. He stepped off, and he motioned for me to change. I shook my head, making him growl.

Finally, I changed, quickly throwing on the dress that lay beside me. I huddled against a large rock, trying to shrink away from him as he shifted. My blue eyes almost popped out of my head as he stared at me. He had deep green eyes, and jet-black hair. It fell around his face in wavey locks. His jaw was strong. If it was under different circumstances, I would've definitely swooned.
