The meeting (Easter)

A girl can do as much as a guy. A girl doesn't need a guy to be happy. A girl can be happy, content, and complete without a guy telling her this.

But the thing is, if you told me these things about 2 years ago, I wouldn't of believed you. And I know I'm not the only one that thought a girl needed a guy in her life. So this is the story of how I, Coco Campbell, learned how to live on my own two feet.

It all starts on Easter. Our good friends the Bakers were coming over, along with the Hooters.

The Bakers consisted of: Melanie (14), Damon (16), and Charlotte (18).

The Hooters family is: Levi (14),  Stacie (17), Laura (17)

Our family is: Coco (14), Joseph (16), Kate (18)

The thing is, I have never met the Hooters before, I had only heard about them. Our family was close with the Bakers, and I knew that the Bakers were really really close with the Hooters, but this was the first time we all got together.

My friends call me boy-cray cray because whenever I was near a boy, I took an hour and a half to get ready. They don't know even know half of the boy- crazy things I do. For one, I day dream about having a boyfriend most days when I'm bored. But to be honest, I've never thought that I was boy- crazy. I liked to say that I was intrigued in boys. I wasn't crazy about them.

"CHLOE! THE BAKERS ARE HERE!" My sister yells from downstairs.

I take one more glance in the mirror, running through my mental checklist.

Blow dried hair perfect? Check

Light makeup perfect? Check

Cute outfit? Check

Shoes go well with outfit? Check

Total look? 100% perfect.

With that I flounced downstairs into our playroom to find Melanie waiting for me at the table.

"Hey girl," I say to her.

"What's up queen?" She responds, looking up from her phone.

"Not much, want to go upstairs and talk?" I offer.

"Let's go," She says, standing up. We walk upstairs to my room and she flops on my bed while I lay down on the floor.

We talk about life, catch up, and soon we hear the doorbell ring while we are walking downstairs.

"Hey guys, what's up?" My dad says in his loud voice. He opens the door.

The Hooters walk in.

 Woah.

WOAH.

WOAH!

Levi is SO SO CUTE. OMG.

Calm down Coco, get it together you're going to have to talk to him and you can't sound weird!

But I couldn't help it. He was adorable. And since talking to him would just make me look like a fool,  I decided NOT to talk to him. I grabbed Melanie and pulled her to the playroom.

The rest of the day was super fun. We ate a delicious meal, I got to talk with Melanie a lot, and I got to meet Levi's sisters, who are so fun and nice. We did an egg hunt, obviously, it IS Easter. After a little while, the kids ended up going to the park to hang out, which is where we played a short game of truth or dare, explored the creek, and hung out on the playground. It was so fun. I never really talked to Levi, which I was fine with.

The thing is, my friends think I am obsessed with guys. Well, maybe I am, just a little. Only, I prepare so much, my outfit, my hair, my makeup, but when a guy does come around, I ignore him, and don't talk to him. I know it's weird, it's just what I've done.

So one, VERY exciting thing happened today. Melanie told me she had a crush. On somebody. Levi, in particular. When she told me this, I didn't know what to feel. Sad? Disappointed? Angry? It's not like I actually knew if I liked Levi, I mean, I met the guy today! But the bad thing was... my BROTHER overheard us. And guess what? He told Levi. It was a whole mess. A huge mess, so big, Melanie and I couldn't handle it all ourselves. We called in backup.

The big sisters.

Of course, Kate, Charlotte, Stacie and Laura were furious. Kate grabbed Joseph and scolded him in her I'm-older-than-you voice, which usually bothers me, but today didn't. Charlotte, Stacie, and Laura pulled aside Melanie and told her not to worry, and I helped. It was like girls vs. boys.

Charlotte and Melanie vs. Damon.

Kate and Coco vs. Joseph.

Stacie and Laura vs. Levi.

That's what each family looked like divided.

Thankfully, we sorted it out, and Melanie was back to her normal self in no time.

Tip to anyone who's brother just told your crush you liked them: get your sister involved.

Anyway, that day I also found out something very interesting that I didn't know how to feel about.

Levi was going to CORE, my school.

And my church.

Oh yay.

I'll just find a way to ignore him.

Right?

And... there's the first chapter!!! I really hope you liked it. I am going to try and post once a week, but we'll see. Anyway, thanks for reading, feel free to comment what you think, but no hate please. Constructive criticism is welcome, however. That's all for now, please vote if you enjoyed this chapter, and now I'm going to start on Chapter 2!

Note: Also, the pic is the beginning is what Coco's room looks like.

Note: I am the writer and the editor, so there will be some grammar errors and mistakes. I am trying to keep them at a minimum, but once again, please no hate towards my mistakes. I am human. There are going to be some sometimes. Thank you!

Have a good day!
