The woman brushed her dark brown hair out of her face and placed her hands onto her knees and she caught her breath. Blood curdling wails were heard from behind the pile of boulders that blocked her from the hoard of yet to be known creatures. The young woman held onto her knife as she looked around the cave. A faint glow came from patches of mushrooms and small crystals growing out of the walls, making it just bright enough to see. She looked along the jagged gray walls and stepped cautiously deeper into the winding tunnels of the cave. She had no other way to go.
The tunnel soon opened up into a large dome shaped opening with an alluring, glowing white crystal illuminating the room. The woman dropped her knife and stepped towards the crystal cautiously. Her honey colored eyes grew slowly in wonderment as she stood at the fore of the crystal, miniscule compared to the sizable rock jutting out from the ruined core of the earth. The woman suddenly jumped back in dread as the hand that grazed the crystal began to melt.
A drone flew in through a hole in one o the sides of the dome, it buzzed above the girl as its red lazers scanned her. A screen flashed on the drone.
