Peter Parker One Shots

Post Battle Kiss

The dull roar of the battle began to quiet down leaving Peter to wait as the rest of the Avenger's joined him in the destroyed streets of New York. Stupid Aliens. He was covered in cuts and bruises.

"Good job, kid" Mr Stark spoke as he touched down a few meters from him. Peter smiled pulling off his mask.

The rest of the team joined them soon after, and Steve started giving orders to begin clean-up. That's when Peter's enhanced ears heard her.

"PETER!"

Michelle Jones, (but she preferred MJ) his girlfriend.

Peter and Mj had been dating for a couple months now. Every Tuesday the Avengers held a meeting were everyone came into the tower and they held a debriefing of the week. It was supposed to be serious but most of the time it just resulted in making jokes and eating whatever junk food was left in the kitchen.

On these Tuesdays Mj would catch the Subway from Queens with Peter. He'd go to the meeting for an hour and then he'd join Mj who was usually hiding out at a bookstore or café reading. They'd go out for dinner before returning to Queens, it was nice and Peter found it quickly becoming his highlight of the week.

It just happed that this particular Tuesday New York had been attacked and The Avengers had had to react quickly.

"MJ!" he shouted spinning in all directions trying to find her. Peter hadn't told any of the avengers he had a girlfriend. Not even Mr Stark. So understandably they were all giving him wired looks.

"PETER", her voice echoed close by now.

"MJ!" he yelled again as she stumbled around a corner a few meters away making eye contact with him as she did so.

Peter felt instant relief at the sight of Mj. She was safe.

"Who the hell is Mj?" Sam asked behind him but Peter was already running. He collied with Mj who immediately wrapped her arms around him. "Are you ok?" Peter asked in panic quickly pulling back and holding her cheeks.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Are you okay?" She replied bringing her hands up to rest against his.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. God Mj your bleeding", he said quickly as he noticed a cut on her forehead.

"I'm okay, I'm okay." Mj's voice was soft. "I swear, I'm okay".

Breathing a sigh of relief Peter allowed himself to relax leaning forward to rest his forehead against hers. "We missed our date." Peter grumbled and Mj laughed, pulling her forehead away to look him in the eye.

"There will be others", she said with a smile. Taking advantage of the opportunity while she was still close Peter leaned forward and kissed Mj softly.

"I'm sorry", he said when he pulled back. Mj just shook her head, arms resting on his shoulders.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Sam shouted.

"PETER HAS A GIRLFRIEND?!" Clint shouted just as loud.

"Shit", Peter whispered.

"Whoops", Mj replied with a smirk. "I wish a had my crisis book on me right now". Peter pulled a face, taking her hand and turning around to pull her over towards The Avengers who were staring dumbstruck at them.

"Hello Michelle", Mr Stark said eyeing her.

"YOU KNOW HER", Clint screeched and Peter winced.

"Yes. She's one of Peter's friends", Tony said slowly. "Obviously, she's not just your friend though" Tony said with a smirk studying Peter and Mj's joined hands.

"Guys", Peter trailed off for a moment before taking a deep breath. "This is Michelle Jones, my girlfriend".

Nat raised an eyebrow before turning to Mj. "So why exactly are you dating Peter?" she question.

"Natasha", Tony spoke in warning.

Mj simply raised a hand in front Mr Stark and gave him a look that said, 'shut up or I'll kill you'. Tony did shut up taking a few steps back with his hands raised.

"I'm dating Peter cause, he's my best friend", Mj said seriously. "He's selfless, kind and has always been there for me. This just seemed natural". She gestured between her and Peter with the hand that wasn't still laced with his. "Not that that's any of your business", she said with a raised eyebrow. Natasha and Mj stared at each other.

Peter held his breath. Mj had just challenged the Black Widow. Well Nat had started it, going into protective mamma spider mode and all.

"And anyway", Mj continued humour in her voice "between you and me he couldn't find his way out of a paper bag without my help".

"Hey", Peter cried.

Natasha let out a choked laugh and the rest of the team tried to smother their giggles to allow Peter to hold onto some of his remaining dignity.

"I like this one. Peter treat her right". Nat said before pulling Steve to the side to talk.

"The Black Widow just complimented me", Mj beathed. Peter chuckled at her.

Tony clapped Peter on the back, causing him to jump "Good job kid didn't know you had it in you". He walked over to Steve and Nat speaking to them for a moment before he started to order everyone about.

Peter smiled in relief and Mj leaned into his side. All was good his family approved of Mj. They might even like her better then him if the matching smirks on Nat and Clint's faces were anything to go by.

"That went surprisingly well", Mj spoke softly.

"Oh, this is just the begging. When we're all back at the tower later I'll never hear the end of it", Peter sighed and Mj laughed next to him.

"I so wish I had my crises book", she said again, laughing. Peter just shook his head before placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Come on team back to the tower", Tony called out. "You too Pete. Bring your girlfriend. Maybe she can make you sit still long enough to check for injuries". Peter dropped his head nodding slowly and Mj immediately began studying him.

"I'm fine, I promise". Peter said raising his head to look at her.

She gave him a disbelieving look.

"Only a few scraps and burses I swear", Peter began rambling. "They'll heal up really soon". Mj kissed him. Effectively shutting him up.

"I believe you Loser, your still going to let the doctors have a look at you though". Mj left no room for argument and began dragging him towards the team

"Fine", Peter signed. "We'll have to move our date to tomorrow then". He watched as she tried to suppress a smile.

"Alright", Mj relented as they joined the team. "But I refuse to let you swing me across the city again"

"Swing across the City!" Tony yelled having heard the end of their discussion.

"Again"? Nat questioned, curiously with a smirk.

"Exactly how long have the two of you been dating"? Clint pointed a finger between the two of them.

Peter just smiled. "We'll see", he said with a cheeky smile. Mj smacked him upside the head.
