Soul Avengers VOL. 2

Not so bad

So about an hour of pleasant conversations Pepper was getting more interested by the minute hearing more of the shinigami's world. "Wait really? So by traveling through a pocket dimension you're able to travel between worlds" she asked in fascination

Ichigo rubbed his neck sheepishly "Um yeah pretty much. But what makes it a pain is having to outrun the cleaner" he said sweat dropping lightly remembering how many times he had to do just that.

All the avengers and pepper looked at the teen in confusion "The cleaner?" They all echoed

Toshiro sighed "It's pretty much the equivelant of a street cleaner, it usaally appears every seven days in order to cleanse the area and it kills anyone and enything it makes contact with. It makes it that no one loiters around or try to take advantage of the time distortion" he explained

"Hold on time distortion so you're tellin-" Tony was immediatly cut off with a swift chop to the neck by Pepper

Okay hold it before you start Tony" she said scoldingly

These guys came here because Fury wanted them to get a break, the last thing they came here for is to get bombereded with your questions" she continued

Watching this made everyone in the room sweat drop, but Natasha on the other hand gave Pepper an encouraging  thumbs up.

"Sorry about him, now it's about noon is anyone interested in lunch" she asked casually dusting he hands off while her boyfriend groans in pain pitidully in the background.

At Lunch Time

The avenger plus the shinigami and Pepper of course went to a different room in the tower where they'd be having lunch, upon entering the room a pleasent smell reached their noses and they were greeted by the sight of a vast aray of dishies and many of which were japanese. The four were greatfull for this and joined the others each taking a seat at the table, Toshiro seated next to Gin who had Izuru on his right and Ichigo seating next to the icy captain with  Steve on his left.

Everyone dug into their food making some light conversations in between. Thor telling some stories of his home back in asgard Steve talking about how hard it was for him to find an apartments in the city, Tony planing some new expiraments while Clint makes cheeky lightly comments regarding Bruce and Natasha being a 'thing' which he was rewarded with a flick to the fore head by his best friend will a slightly embaressed Steve tried to change the topic of conversation.

Pepper who unfortunately had to leave because she had an afternoon yoga session, leaving the avengers and the shinigami on their own.

After her departure the conversation went to the shinigami's life at shield had been transpiring for the last few months and the answer thay were given was a bit of a surprise even to them. Their life had been pretty mandain ( for interdimension people) the simple routeen of wake up, train, eat, kills ome time, eat, train some more , kill more time, eat and sleep.

The routeen of their current everyday life wasn't nearly as bad as the shinigami had initially thought.

They also gave some of the details on what happened on their first official shield mission, it was less than ideal to say the least, from a group of unknown killers completely whipping out the islands inhabitants to an unexpected horde of hollows showing up. It was a little rough and once the others heard about it they couldn't help but feel slight chills go down their spines at just how generally creepy it sounded.

Natasha and Clint themselves were especially interested hearing it first hand from the shinigami since both being trusted members of shield had looked into the sitiation themselves only to come up complete nothing.

But just before the conversation went in too deep about their past mission Gin conveniently made a comment at how  he was interested in how Tony's suites function seeing something like that might need a powerful energy source. Tony a little suprised with the fox man's comment went into a full length explaination on his arc reactor how he got it and how e was able to power his suites. Gin took this oppotunity and tried to propt the genius into showing him his lab and since luch was already done he had no reason to say no.

So after giving his grumpy boyfriend a peck on the cheek he gave cheery goodbyes and followed Tony up to where his main lab was stationed. Everyone else at the table followed soon after Steve and Bruce offered to show Ichigo to his  room that he'll be staying in while he was there and Izuru was dragged along by Clint who wanted to hang out' with him for some reason with Thor grabbing a few drink clearly wanting to join in on whatever the two were doing.

That just left Natasha and Toshiro in the room neither of the two knowing what to do or talk about, Natasha being the first one to broke the ice and ask Toshiro about his age, a small tick mark appeared on his head as he responded partially anoyed "Even though I look young I'm actaully over a hundred and twenty years old and as much as I hate to admit it that's still considered young in the soul society" he said with a slight huff at the end. Natasha was slightly surprised hearing this "Really so even back where you're from people pretty much still so you as a kid yet you were still able to get a captain's position?" she asked in interest pouring herself a glass of wine.

Sighing out and rubbing his temples Toshiro spoke "Yes as anoying as it is and what makes it difficult is dealling with surbodinates who find it highly amusing that their captain is a child and back then I looked even younger then I do now he snorted recalling the first time he was introduced to his squad as their new captain.

Natasha let out a small laugh hearing this imaging a little grumpy toshiro trying to take command of grown adults, not really knowing how it happened Toshiro ended up laughing as well along with the red head woman "Impressive must of been hell trying to get them to listen to you" she said taking another drink of her wine but not before offering the white heard captain a glass as well.

Giving a smirk he took the offered glass "You have no idea"

Okay I'm leaving off in a bit of a cliff hanger, chapter did not achieve much and I am sorry if you found it boring. The next is gonna be half about Avengers and Shinigami and the other half is gonna be the start of the actual plot line so just think of this as a filler if you will. Sorry for speling errors.
