I should be sleeping since it's almost 3 in the morning but I just finished reading a freaking awesome book and it inspired me to write another chapter! In case you wondered what book, it's called Dancing with the Devil. Holy shit, it gave me some major feels. I literally groaned when I read the ending. It's just.. ugh. There's no words for it. Let's just say, I want me a Ansel Adams. The author is conleyswifey in case you can't find the book. Anyway. Enjoy this chapter that will probably suck because I'm half asleep but I can't sleep. Explain that.

Jacob POV
"Are you sure the threat is gone?" I asked my grandfather for the tenth time. The old man rolled his eyes for the tenth time and patted my shoulder. "Michelangelo is gone for good. Not even the most powerful witch can bring him back." My body visibly relaxed at his words. But then hearing Sarah's soft laugh made me tense up again. I had been avoiding her. I know I just got her back and I should be celebrating but it was my fault she was kidnapped. If I hadn't of yelled, she wouldn't of ran away.
"You need to go talk to her. I can smell her concern from here." I looked towards the small group surrounding my mate but her eyes were on me. My grandfather gently shoved my shoulder towards her to which Sarah began walking towards me.
"You make up with her now or I'm calling your grandmother." That threat made my feet move. My grandmother was a mother hen but when something made her unhappy, you best do something to make it better or the whole world will be at fault.
"Are you feeling okay?" I asked her once she was close enough. I noticed her body slouched when I didn't bring her into my arms. I was causing her pain without even realizing. The small cut on her neck healed seconds after it happened and the blood all over the wedding dress wasn't hers. Luckily Kathy brought extra clothes so Sarah was able to change out of it, thank god. I was going to have nightmares of the horrid thing.
"I'm fine. Just exhausted. I didn't sleep much the past few days." She smiled softly and looked down at her fingers, a shy move. I could see the sadness in her eyes but what did I do? I nodded and said, "Good." Idiot. Sarah looked at me and frowned. She was upset and confused whereas my wolf was angry and pissed off. Which made him grumpy. When I didn't move to touch her, she sniffled and turned away to walk into her mother's arms. Her father was standing next to them and was glaring at me.
"Hello lovely! I was just calling to tell you that we got Sarah back but your grandson is being a nincompoop about it and won't touch her." I was at least seven feet away and I could hear my grandmother yell that I was an idiot and she would come talk sense into me. Oh god.
Sarah POV
I don't understand why Jacob is being so standoffish towards me. I'm safe and yet I had to seek comfort from my parents. Not that it's a bad thing but I needed my mate. My Jakey.
"I told you he was no good. He's hurting our daughter and you won't let me go beat his ass." Did I mention my parents arguing over it wasn't helping? "He is good, he's just making sure everything is okay." My mother hissed back at him. "Right! The only thing he needs to check is Sarah!"
