Sarah POV

I watched as Alex paced in front of the bed I was laying in, a look of concentration on his baby face. His fingers kept twitching as his lips moved but no noises or words came out. I simply sat there, my arms wrapped around my knees as my eyes followed him.

"Have I already asked why you're pacing?" Alex stopped and looked towards me and grinned. He has fangs. Fangs are real. Vampires are real. I guess he saw the look on my face and quickly peeled the grin off his face. "I'm pacing because it helps me think. Master will be back soon and I don't know how to convince him to wait a few more days for the ritual."

Oh yeah. I forgot about the killing ritual the dead vampire wanted to do so I could spend eternity with him. "Maybe we can come up with a lie to postpone it?"

"Like what? I know you're not mated so you can't say you're pregnant." My cheeks bloomed at that statement. It's not my fault I wanted to wait for the special moment.

"I didn't mean to embarrass you, Sarah." I just shook my head and sent a smile to him to let him know it was okay. "Maybe you can give me something to make me sick?" Alex just shook his head in response. I slouched in defeat. How am I supposed to stay alive till Jacob can find me? If he ever finds me.

Jacob POV

My nose stayed glued to the ground, hoping to pick up the scent of either my mate or the person who took her. But I was getting nothing. I could smell rain though which of course would happen when my mate was kidnapped. Sounds like something cliche.

"Alpha? Why don't you take a break and eat something?" I just growled and kept sniffing around the ground. I heard Matt sigh and whisper something to I'm guessing Kathy. "Sarah would want you to eat something." That made me froze. Kathy knew exactly what to say to get through the stubbornness. I looked towards her and saw Matt standing in front of her, as if I'm about to pounce on her. I sat down and huffed, letting them know I was surrendering but just for food. Kathy smiled at me but I could tell it was forced. The loss of their Luna was not only taking it's toll on me, but the whole pack. Everyone was on full alert but they were getting tired. I was rarely resting or stopping but my pack went along with me, deaf to Kathy's warnings.

"They are working themselves into the ground, Matt! Alpha, you have to do something." Matt sighed and wrapped his arm around her waist, trying to calm down the female. "I can't stop them. They are only doing it because they want their Luna back." Kathy just glared at me then walked off to try and get the members to stop once again. It didn't work.

The Beta female placed a huge sandwich in front of me to which my wolf quickly scarfed down. I guess we were hungrier than I thought. I licked my snout and suddenly felt exhausted. I narrowed my eyes at the woman when everything went black. Damn woman drugged me!

Matt POV

"He is going to kill you when he wakes up." I bluntly said as I stared at the sleeping wolf. Kathy had to take extreme measures to get him to rest, even for five minutes. But I knew how angry he was going to be. Just five minutes could get the Luna killed. Which is why I'm leading the search now. I nodded towards the few trackers and fighters who weren't exhausted and quickly started where the alpha stopped. I kissed my mate then took off running.

Eric POV

The gas pedal stayed glued to the floor board as I raced to Jacob's territory. I could smell my mate and pups fear but I needed to get there. I needed to get my daughter back. Ali moved over to me and simply laid her head on my shoulder which calmed me down. I managed to slow down when I saw a group of wolves run along in the trees. I quickly pulled over and hopped out, the truck still running. The wolves stopped and luckily knew who I was. I noticed the Beta step forward and change back to his human.

"Alpha Eric! Thank god you're here. The scent is gone and it's about to storm real bad. We need help." I looked towards Ali and motioned for her to keep driving while I ran along side in wolf form. She nodded and crawled into the drivers seat, quickly putting it in drive and got back on the road.

"Where is your Alpha?" I grunted as I took off my pants so I at least wouldn't be naked if we did- when we do find Sarah. "My mate knocked him out. He's resting but I'm sure he'll wake-" He was interrupted by a loud howl. Even I could feel the power behind it.

"Looks like your alpha is awake. And angry." The Beta grimaced before running towards the direction to where the howl came from. "You guys can go with him or run with me." The wolves stayed put. As soon as I changed, we took off.

~~Two Days Later~~

Sarah POV

Alexandro was going crazy. Okay, I was going crazy. Alex was just trying to stop it which drove him crazy because I wasn't listening.

"We can't stop him much longer! It's already been two days. He'll get suspicious if you keep making up excuses." I chewed on my lower lip, a nervous habit of mine. I was going to die soon. I wouldn't get to see my parents again. See Elijah again. See Jacob again. We'd never have a family.

"Calm down Sarah. I can smell your panic from here." I rolled my eyes which made him chuckle. He was only a few feet away. "At least it calmed you down."

"We'll figure something out. Maybe I can form a spell-" He suddenly stopped when I felt the air change. He was here. I looked towards the entrance in time to see the man float through.

"Hello mate. How're we feeling today? Better?" I nodded slowly and looked down at my lap. I couldn't look at him, he was dark. "Good! Tomorrow we will have the ritual. I want you to enjoy your last day being alive." How could he sound so happy about killing me?

"You can leave the tent today but you can't go far. There is a spell surrounding the tent that will keep you inside the perimeter." He reached out to touch me but his hand went through my face which made me shiver. He was so cold. The man sighed and disappeared, something he does when he's upset or angry.

"Let's go outside. It'll be good to have some fresh air and sunlight." I nodded and quickly left the tent, taking in a deep breath of the air. The smell of trees and dirt reminded me of Jacob, which brought tears to my eyes. I missed him so much. And I'd never see him again. The wind blew against my head, making my hair brush against my neck and face. It reminded me of the soft touches Jacob would give.

Jacob POV

I suddenly froze as the breeze brushed against my nose. That was Sarah's scent! I howled before running in the direction the wind came from, the mouthwatering scent hitting me right in the face. She was close!

"She's close! Get Eric!" I quickly told my Beta, not waiting for a response. I was getting my mate back!
