Upon hearing the dreaded ringing of the alarm clock, I rolled out of bed. I wasn't usually this responsive to alarm clocks but well, today was my first day of school.
Well, to be precise, the first day of my fifth school.
Ugh. I hate constantly moving houses. It's like I stay in that area for one year or two then I'm off to another place, whether I like if or not.
And if i don't get close to the students in the school, it'll save a shit lot of heartbreaks and tears.
And I like to think that whenever I feel lonely.
Mum is always nagging at me to go make some friends and socialise myself. And maybe for once I will. I promised her that
I'll stop isolating myself from everyone in school, mainly because she got so batshit worried the last time when I had no friends to go with for the movie might the school hosted and I had to bring my sister, Kristine, along for accompaniment.
To make friends, I'll need to have a good first impression. And by that, I meant actually putting on make up and wearing legit clothes instead of my pyjamas. And I'll also have to shower and wash my hair.
Tough work.

After a a good scrub, I rinsed off all the foam in my hair and proceeded to pick clothes.
Annoying.
I had few clothes in my closet, as most of them were little cute bunny pyjamas my exboyfriend bought for me. I hardly had time for shopping last time, mainly because I immersed myself in manga and anime.
Yes I was a weaboo.
I laid on my bed stomach down and stared the my open wardrobe, deciding which outfit would give the perfect first impression.
How about that lacy dress?
Slutty.
Or the bunny tee shirt with jeans?
Nerd.
What about the white crocheted shirt with the black miniskirt?
Perfect.
Then, I stared at my untouched dressing table. Ugh. Make up. I was really bad at it.
Fumbling with the cap of the mascara, I took about 10min to apply it and another 20 min to draw a perfect eyeline. Screw this motherfucker. I'm done.

When Mum saw me walking out of my room, she smiled as she laid the table.
"You finally decided to dress up properly, huh?" she commented proudly. "I'm glad you got out of that pyjama phase."
I chuckled as she shuddered exaggeratingly.
"It wasn't so bad!"
"Oh it was," she replied, as she gave me a serious look on her face before she burst out laughing.
"Since you already decided to put in effort in your looks, why not congratulate yourself by putting on your contacts?" she suggested cheekily. "I mean, you haven't worn it since that wedding dinner!"
"Muuummm..." I whinged. "It was so itchy!"
Nontheless, I still went to the toilet and put it on anyway, just to please her.
"Now you have gorgeous greyish purple eyes!" she chirped when she saw me.
I grinned as I sat down and nibbled on my banana. I had no appetite today. My stomach was already queasy because I was so nervous.
After I finished the mushy banana, I tossed the peel in the bin, slung my bag over my shoulder, and was all ready to head out.
"Cherlyn, remember to bring an umbrella out with you, okay?" Mum said, peering out of the window. "It's raining, like, cats and dogs outside!"
" Yea! Don't worry, Mum!" I called out as I slammed the door behind me.
Wow. She definitely wasn't joking when she told me it was raining cats and dogs. I mean, it was literally pouring. This was no doubt one of the worst rainstorms I have ever experienced.
To make matters worse, the bus stop was a good 200m walk away from my house.
I clutched at my umbrella handle and trudged towards the bus stop, wincing when the rain blew into my face.
The wind was extremely strong too, and it almost sent my skirt flying up like Marilyn Monroe's.
After a good 150 m walk, I saw the bus turn round the corner.
What the fuck.
Immediately, I dropped my umbrella and began sprinting towards the bus stop, screaming uncontrollably, praying for the bus to wait for me.
Despite the raindrops pelting on my back, I ran like I was in a 50 m dash, and it was as if my once lethargic legs grew muscles and ran.
But no. I wasn't quick enough, and before I could even reach the bus stop, the bus sped off.
And the next bus will come in 40min.
Seriously? Honestly, you had such a great start for the day. Firstly, it rained, then you got drenched, thirdly, you missed your bus, and lastly you're going to be late for your first day of school! Such luck!
I sat down glumly under the busstop. Maybe if I could hail some bypassing cars to give me a lift to Eurnon School, now that'll be great.
But when I looked at the street, I already gave up. The whole street was empty on this gloomy day, and given my luck, I think I'd get splashed by a car instead.
Oh well, no harm trying.
However, the past ten min, only two cars passed by, and both of them ignored my desperate arm flailing.
I sighed to myself, slumping my shoulders and hanging my head. This day was going from bad to worse already.
"Hey, do you need a ride? I mean at this hour, hardly any buses pass by and.."
I looked up, only to see a silver Mercedes car in front of me, with a window winded down, and a brown haired boy around my age staring at me.
"Yea!" I cried out gleefully, leaping to my feet hopefully. "Do you think you can get me to Eurnon? "
To my surprise, he chucked and said," Oh wow, a new girl. Anyway, see you there! "
Before I could absorb in anything that was going on, the car sped out of sight.
So he is from Eurnon too? And he didn't bother to give me a ride?
My blood boiled in fury. What a complete dickhead. If Eurnon is filled with absolute airheads like him, I'd be ecstatic move to another town.
So I sat there helplessly, hopelessly trying to flag down another one or two cars, but they ignored me. Ugh. Is this town full of selfish idiots?
I glanced at my watch. 5 min till school starts. I won't make it.
Just then, the same silver Mercedes stopped in front of me, and the door opened.
"Why so pissed, princess? I was just kidding. Hop in!" the boy said.
But I just stared blankly at him, tempted as fuck to reject his offer. I mean, I don't want to get a lift from a jerk asshole, right? The ride would be totally unbearable.
Noticing the hesitation, he tried again. "Come on, school starts in 5min, you'll be late if you don't get in."
And so I did.

HELLO! This is like probably the worst time to start writing because I have MYEs and shit but oh well since I don't study anyway why not?
Anyway heard that writing can improve my English, which might help in my English MYE tomorrow. If it doesn't then too bad.
