Back to Cherlyn POV

After Jazryl and Kimberly left to go for class, I switched on the television, and coincidentally, a football match was playing. And did I forget to tell you that I absolutely adore football?
It was Jamaica versus England. I was dying in excitement.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and a could see a slim yet curvy shadow.
I didn't have to guess that it was Lauren.
I clenched my fists under the white bedsheets and gritted my teeth.
Why do I have to keep dealing with her?
I groaned internally and I felt my nerves tangle up. I paled instantly as she stepped into the light, revealing her evil face.
She noticed it immediately as she cocked her head to one side and smiled a cunning smile, resting her fingers on the bedpost.
"Scared, dearie? " she mocked with a cackle.
I held up my head to show her I'm not afraid, but my heart was pounding on my chest thunderously and sweat gathered on my forehead that it gave me away.
"No," I forced out timidly.
Stay strong, Cherlyn. You don't have to be afraid of her.
"Well... " she purred, which made my skin crawl in disgust."Glad I paid a nice little visit?"
"No. "
I swear that is all I ever have the courage to say to her.
"Oh, no?" she pretended to gasp. "Oh, that's just really sad. I mean, I took time off my busy schedule to check if my little baby is all right. It's a pity to think that this is how you respond to my ever so good intention."
I remained silent, because I couldn't find any words in my mouth. It's like my brain completely emptied itself of vocabulary when I even catch a glimpse Of her face.
She walked towards me, a smug expression plastered over her face, and placed her hard on my forehead, checking for a fever. I winced as her icy cold hand made contact with my forehead.
"Shall I get you a cup of water? " she asked, eerily polite.
"No," I spat out.
"Come on, don't be a pussy, " she egged on.
Even before I could reply her, she strutted out of the room and into the sick room, where there was a drinking fountain.
I suddenly felt a burst of momentary relief. And my shoulders relaxed as my breathing returned to its normal pace.
But of course, it was short lived, as in a matter of few minutes, I could hear the clacking of her high heels against the ground, approaching me.
The second she entered the room, I felt trapped. I was insecure, just her and me together in this room, with no one else.
"Missed me, princess? "
She stood at the entrance, a cup of water dangling delicately from her fingers, with an eyebrow cocked.
Yet again, my repy was a lame, 'no'.
" Ran out of words to say? " she taunted as she took dreaded steps towards me."Honestly I thought you were a bright girl!"
At that moment, I didn't know what came over me, but I hardened my gaze on her and hissed out,
"Thank you for thinking that I'm smart. I truthfully didn't know that you would have the intelligence to tell apart a smart girl and a bimbo. "
Obviously, she was taken aback, as her eyes widened my a fraction for a second, before finding her composture.
She didn't have any retort, so she just went up closer to me and sat on the edge Of My bed.
" Have a drink, Cherlyn, " she said. "You must be thirsty."
"No. "
She sighed to herself, twirling her beautiful golden strand of hair in her fingers.
"You're so difficult, you know?" she calmly told me as she clucked her tongue , although I felt like jumping up and slapping her makeup off her face. "I prepared water for you, and you refuse to have it? What a waste! You're so mean to me. And i know you're not a mean girl, are you, Cherlyn?"
I knew she was just testing me, to see if I would voluntarily pick up the cup and drink the contents. It was obvious that it wasn't water. And if it was, it was polluted. I could tell easily from the way she kept harping about an insignificant cup Of water. Either she was playing a game of dominance, or she wanted to make me even more ill.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"Fine, you leave me no choice but to deal with you like I deal with my pesty brother. "
She held the cup in front of my lips and looked at me, but I refused to open up my mouth, lest she shove the whole cup down my throat. I pressed my lips together. There was no way that cup of water was entering my mouth.
It was her turn to roll her eyes. She sighed again and began to pinch my nose together, blocking my entrance of air. I had no choice but to hold my breath. I wasn't going to open up my mouth like she wanted me to.
After a few seconds, I was breathless. I latched my hand on to Lauren's wrist and tried to pry her hand of my nose. I tried both hands, but I was ill and weak at the moment and she was quite strong, so her hand didn't budge. I pleaded with her with my eyes but she just stared down at me with a smug smile on her face.
I had no choice but to open my mouth. I quickly took a small gulp of air, praying that she was too slow and missed the timing.
But in an instant, she forced the cup in between my lips and the water gushed down my throat like a broken dam.
I choked at the sudden impact, but Lauren would not give way, as she held the cup steadily at my mouth.
I struggled.
"Stop it! " I screamed but was muffled my the water going down my throat. My limps thrashed everywhere and I violently shook my head. My hands tried to smack the hand out of her grasp but she held it firmly. But all she did was cackle satisfyingly with a smirk on her face.
I thrashed and and struggled like i never did before, and the some Of the water spilled in my shirt.
I was legit crying as my face turned red.
After a thousand years, I drank all the water and she removed the cup from my mouth.
Since she shoved it quite deep in my mouth, it was covered in saliva.
"Gross! " she shrieked as she threw the slimy cup in my face.
I looked away, utterly embarassed. This totally concluded that she could boss me around, and I was just a psthetic bullyable weakling.
It was a game of dominance. And she won.
It might be a little insignificant thing, but the boastful smile on her face said it all.
"Hope the toilet water tasted okay to you, " she said as she opened the door to exit."I couldn't find actual water."
As the door slammed closed, I buried my head in my bedsheets and sobbed louder than I ever did.

Hi

So I pretty much figured that this would happen soon, but like I kind of lost interest in writing? I am starting to feel of it like more of s burden than enjoyment, plus the usual cheap excuse that school is starting and I have loads to focus on. My life doesn't revolve around Wattpad, I'm pretty sure you know that, and I have been busy this whole week, even though it's a school holiday. I might stop writing altogether, but I also might just continue, if I do gain back that joy of writing. So now I'm kind of really stuck in between, and I dont know whether to do which. I started writing and trying this out because I had many ideas and I decided it would be great if I did something out of it but apparently, it's really difficult to stick to one idea seeing I have so many. Of course I'm not starting another story, it would be way too challenging, but maybe there will be lesser updates? Or I might just delete this app altogether because of the lack of memory space. Kidding. Anyways hope you enjoyed this story!! I liked writing it (i dont even know why) because it was exciting? Thats all I have to say and have a great week ahead. (unfortunately school is reopening soon but oh wellz)
