I was running a high temperature, the doctor said when I visited the clinic this morning.
I was feeling feverish ; one minute I feel cold as fuck, and the next, I'm sweating buckets. So you'll see me hiding under tons of blankets in an air conditioned room, with my favourite TV show on the screen.
Mum told me to skip school for the day, as my health was more important than education.
I groaned , stretching my aching muscles, which are a side effect for the medication for my fever, as I felt my eyelids grow heavier and droopier.
No, Cherlyn, you must stay awake to find out if Angela is really cheating on Justin.
At that thought, I forced my eyes open and glued my glassy eyes on the screen, as 'Justin' slaps 'Angela' and accusing her of cheating on him with 'Jacoby'.
" 'No! I'm not with Jacoby! I'll only love you!' "
Geez Justin, take a chill pill.. You shouldn't slap her even if she was with Jacoby.
Just as 'Angela' was about to explain what happened, the damn commercials went on, and as a matter of fact
, the commercials in here play for about 10 fucking minutes, so I decided to have a little nap until the show comes back on.
At that thought, I let my eyelids drop and rested my eyes on my bed.

Once I heard the introduction of the show, I lifted my head groggily and stared at the screen, but to my surprise, the TV had blacked out.
Was there a circuit problem?
I got up from my bed and headed downstairs to check the electrical box.
As I was slowly climbing down the stairs, I saw Kristine munching on some crispies on the couch, staring at the blank TV screen with red swollen eyes, indicating that she had been crying.
Instantly, I ran to her side, and asked what happened.
But she just glanced at me, and burst out into tears again. And it's not like her to cry.
"What happened?" I egged in concerned, but I just got a glare in response.
I put my hands on her shoulders, and shook her violently, screaming 'what happened?' repeatedly, until something in her snapped and she raised her right arm, and brought it against my cheek.
"Can't you stay in you lane?" she cried out in exasperation. "You're just so annoying!"
I to admit that what she said was a little hurtful, but, isoftened, and managed a weak whisper.
" Kristine, I'm not trying to annoy you... I just want to help... "
She buried her head in my chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
" You can't help me! "she shouted." How do you get rid of my pregnancy then? "
I stopped cold.
What...
I felt a cold shiver run down my spine, and for a moment, everything seemed so real to me.
Kristine was pregnant, with a child. And she is only 12.
What is left of her future? All is ruined because of this!
" What are you going to do? "
" I... don't even know... "she croaked out helplessly." I can't just abort her... "
I stared at her midrift. Her once stick thin torso had a little... thing .
And one word came to mind.
Maxime.
All at once, I felt my blood boil, and I began to see red. It was as if my skin was on fire, and I had no way of cooling it down.
" I'm going to kill that fuckboy right now, for doing this to you!" I raged, standing up and heading towards the door.
"No!" she exclaimed, begging for mercy. "Don't do it!"
"Why? Maxime deserves what he gets!" I screamed, kicking the door violently.
"No!! He's the good guy!" Unexpectedly, she ran up to me and hugged my leg frantically, not wanting me to go.
"No, he's not!" I shouted back. "Are you delusional?"
I felt her grip on my ankle loosen, and for a moment, I considered taking the chance to sprint out of the house.
But something about this seems...
Wrong.
"It's not him."
Those three words were like swords in my heart, and the reality of the situation dawned heavily on me.
"So... who was it?" I managed, tears beginning to gather at my eyes.
I didn't know you were so stupid, Kristine. I'm utterly disappointed in you.
"Uh..."
How.
That word kept ringing in my head continuously. How did she manage to get pregnant with an unknown father? How did I not see that this was coming? How?
"I was at my friend's house-" she explained.
"Serene?"
She nodded, and continued, "And her brother, Amos, was hot as hell, so we -"
"Did it?" I continued for her, an eyebrow raised at her.
Goddamnit, Kristine was just such an idiot! Honestly? Serene? Maxime? Now Amos? Can she get anymore dumb?
She can never see them again then.
"End you relationship, with all of them ; Maxime, Serene, Amos," I ordered authoriatively. " Sad to say you have to abort the baby, and start you life anew."
I was actually waiting for her to protests, and go against me, saying she has her own free will and who knows what other rubbish. Hell, I even prepared what to say if she talks back to me!
But no. Surprisingly, her lips curved into a beautiful smile and she nodded, stretching out her arms for a hug.
And as she falls into my embrace, I heard her whisper into my ear.
"Thank you, Cherlyn."

I woke up, only to find that what had happened was only a bad dream. I knew it was too good to be true, anyway, it was expected.
"Cherlyn?" I heard an unfarmiliar male voice call out, and I sat up immediately, and the boy in my room was totally unexpected.
"Xavier?"
