Chapter 09 - There Is No Reason We Can't

Ohm's POV

We woke up Sunday morning. It was a lazy day, lying in bed just the two of us. We talked the pillow talk. I feel so at ease right now. I could hugged him, kissed him, teased him, smelled him and cuddled him however I wanted. "Well, you were supposed to surprise me that night. Imagined if Drake didn't put that on his igs, we're going to have the nicest moment, ever, just you and me confessing our feelings to each other, having dinner, me opening your present, we laughed, we smiled. Must've been a perfect night. Instead, it turned to my worst birthday ever. What a waste. I ended up having dinner by myself that night. Your food was delicious though." I poured my heart out. "What about your family? You don't celebrate with them?" he asked. "Well, we never celebrate birthdays, but my dad usually take me out to get ice cream or something. But my dad has a business meeting with a very important client that day so he kind of forget about it. He remembered later that day, called me around midnight, a little bit late, and wished me a happy birthday. A little bit too late for that too, huh." I'm used to disappointment. "Hmm. Maybe we can do something about it?" Nanon said. "What do you mean?" I'm curious. "Hmm, there is no reason we can't have another surprise party, right?" he said. "I can cook for you. Well, not a full meal like last time cause that took a lot of time to prepare, but we can still have a nice moment. I can bake you a cake. You can pretend to open the present again." he explained. "I don't have to pretend, I still haven't opened the present from you yet. I wanted to open it with you." I said. "Oh. Perfect. Then, I'm going to supermarket to buy some groceries, okay." he started dressing up, borrowing my clothes. My clothes looked good on him. "No, you're not." I stopped him. "Huh?" he stopped. "You're not going to supermarket alone. I'll go with you." I said, smiling. I started to dress up too.

We went to A supermarket, the one close to my apartment. It's on walking distance. Today is a clear sunny day, so we decided to walk there. I hold his hand on the way there, and he let me. I mean, we're a couple now, so it's a normal thing to do. We entered the supermarket, cold breeze passed through us. Supermarket is always cold, always. "Ohm, what do you want to eat? Do you have any special request? As long as it's not too complicated, I can make them for you." he asked me. "Something like last time is okay." I told him. "Okay then, I can make you shrimp again." he started picking up ingredients, and I pushed the cart. See, we do make a good team. He finished picking up, and we went to the cashier to pay. He took out his wallet but I stopped him. I wanted to pay. He frowned. "But..but..I should pay for this one. This is your surprise party." I shook my head. "No, I'm going to pay." I took out my wallet and paid for the groceries. He still frowned so I explained to him. "Non, I wanted to pay for this, just like when we were having meal together, I always pay too, and it applied here too." He nodded. I cuddled-hug him, until I realized we were in the public place and people are starting to look at us. I let go of him. He smiled. 

Nanon's POV

We had lunch at the cafe next to the supermarket. We ordered and Ohm went to the restroom. Suddenly, Drake entered the cafe. He saw me, run towards me, and started rambling. "Nanon, you're here. Everybody's been looking for you everywhere. Where have you been? You know everyone is worried about you. You skipped classes for two weeks. Are you sick? Wait, I gotta tell Ohm about this. He must be so happy to finally find you. Wait, don't go anywhere, okay. " he started calling Ohm. "Drake, wait..." I tried to explain but he won't listen. "He didn't pick up. Okay, let's take a selfie and I'm going to send it to him. He's going to freak out." he started taking picture of us. "What are you doing with my boyfriend?" Ohm's back from the restroom. "Taking a selfie and send it to...... Ohm, you're here, I tried to call you. I finally found Nanon. Here he is. Please don't get mad at me anymore." he went silent. "Wait... boyfriend?" he looked surprised. "Wait... you're here together, right?" he finally put the pieces of the puzzle together. "Yes, Drake. I finally found Nanon hiding at his best friend's apartment. We talked things out and we're boyfriends now." Ohm smiled. "Wow, congratulations. Now I can finally stop feeling guilty. I've learned my lesson not to intervene in someone else's matter again." he started to leave. "Gotta go, see you guys" he's gone just like that. We laughed. "Well, at least this time he didn't share anything on social media." Ohm smiled.
