Here ya go! Have a tiny little thing I wrote <3

It's not the best obviously, but I like it so far

--------

The sounds of children laughing and screaming filled the air as Zach walked down the sidewalk, his own two kids running ahead of him.

"ay kids slow down a little bit, don't leave your old man behind" he said with a chuckle, watching as one of the two slowed

Elias slowed to a quick walk and turned to look back at Zach "but dad, we still have so many houses to go to!" He said holding up his bucket slightly, showing how it was only a quarter way full

Zach looked down at his son and chuckled "I know Elias, but you have to stay with me okay? Can't have you running off" he said looking up when he heard his daughter

Akita huffed as she looked at them, her ears folded back in slight annoyance "come on! You guys are so sloooow!" She said drawing out the last word with a groan

"Hey! It's not my fault you got a head start!" Elias said stomping his foot, the fake handcuffs on his costume jingling soflty at the movement

"Hey you two don't fight. Akita wait for us" Zach said as he started walking over to his daughter, making sure Elias was following behind him

The house up ahead was decked out with Halloween decorations, from fake gravestones to animatronics that jumped out when they sensed movement. Zach stood at the end of the driveway looking down at the two

"Alright, you two want to go up to this house or go to the next one?" Zach asked, kneeling down in front of them as he glanced at the decorations. They really did go all out, it was impressive.

Elias looked at the house, his ears folding back slightly "i- mm.. I don't know.. it looks really scary.." he mumbled

"What? It's not scary! It's all fake!" Akita said looking at her brother before walking up the sidewalk towards the front door. Elias, not wanting to seem like a scaredy-cat; quickly followed her

Akita glared at the decorations, gripping the handle of her bucket as they both made their way up the sidewalk. She stopped, letting out a quiet growl as she  eyed the skeleton animatronic on the front step. It remained unmoving as Elias hid behind Akita, his ears pressed back

"Is it going to move?" Elias asked, his voice small as he tried to hide his fear

"O-of course not!" Akita said, taking a step forward. The skeleton didn't move. "See!? Its not moving!" She said. It wasnt moving, at least not until she took two more steps forward before it's eyes glowed a deep red and it's arms quickly reached out towards the two cubs

Both of them let out undignified yelps, quickly running back down the sidewalk to hide behind Zachs legs.

Zach laughed abit putting his hands on top of their heads "it's okay you two, it isn't actually going to get you. It's fake, see?" He said, getting their attention back to the skeleton that had resumed its previous lifeless position.

Akita was the first to step out from behind her fathers legs "r-right! I knew that!" She said puffing her chest out in pride

"You want me to go up there with you both?" Zach asked watching his daughter with a light chuckle, Elias quickly nodding as he gripped the bottom of Zachs shirt

Zach held their hands as he slowly walked them back up the sidewalk and to the front steps. The skeleton jumped out again at them, both cubs flinching abit at the sudden movement and gripping onto Zach tighter as they passed it.

"One of you want to knock?" Zach asked, not really getting to finish the thought as Akita quickly stepped over and knocked on the door

A young lioness opened the door and smiled soflty as she knealed down, holding the candy bowl in her hands "oh would you look at you two, that's such a cute costume idea" she said looking at Elias "a little cop" looking at Akita "and a little robber" she said

Akita giggled, holding up her bucket "trick or treat!" She said with a big smile, her tail wagging slightly

The lioness laughed abit and scooped out a handful of candy before carefully dropping it into Akitas bucket "here you go"

Zach gently pat Elias's back "it's okay bud, go ahead" he said watching as Elias hesitantly stepped from behind him and held out his bucket with a mumbled "trick or treat"

Scooping up another handful of candy, the lioness dropped it into Elias's bucket "here you go hon" she said before standing

"Now what do we say?" Zach asked looking down at the two

"Thank you!" Akita said loudly, her brother letting out a more quiet "thank you" As he went back to hiding behind Zachs legs

"No problem, you two have fun" the lioness said giving them a smile "and don't mind Henry, he won't hurt you" she said with a chuckle, pointing at the skeleton animatronic

Akita looked back at the skeleton with a small growl, but didn't say anything about it

"Thank you, have a good night ma'am" Zach said with a smile as he turned to walk down the porch steps, both Akita and Elias following close beside him, staying as far away from the skeleton animatronic to avoid it jumping at them. They failed because it jumped up as they walked past it, Akita throwing it a dirty look. If looks could kill.

The trio made their way down the sidewalk and back onto the street to continue trick or treating

"That wasn't so bad now was it?" Zach asked glancing down at the two

"Nope! Wasn't bad at all!" Akita said speed-walking abit ahead. If Zach didn't know any better, he'd say she wanted to get far away from that house

"Y-yeah not bad at all" Elias quietly said, still tightly holding onto Zachs shirt
