The spacious room was illuminated by the mid-morning sunlight passing through the big french windows. Several collections of clothes were scattered on the soft bed where a pair of mother and child could be found beside it.

Kneeling in front of her six-year-old child, the mother diligently buttoned the simplified poet shirt on her little one and tucked it away in their brown [skirt/shorts]. Once done, she backed away and smiled at her beautiful child; the sunlight reflected on their figure, making the child even more angel-like.

The child tugged on the shirt and pouted. "Why do I have to wear this? It's just the doctor who's coming?" They asked their mother, who only sighed in return.

"[First Name], I know you know we've done everything to improve your condition somehow, but this doctor is special. She's the only one who can cure you." She clipped the suspender on [First Name]'s waistband. "And you don't want to make it worse, do you?"

The child nodded. The mother smiled contentedly. "This is for your own good, do you understand?" [First Name] nodded again.

"Can you repeat that, my dear?"

"Yes, I understand."

Relieved, the mother patted [First Name]'s head. "Such a good child for me. Now fetch me your hairbrush. I'll comb your hair until it's soft."

A hard knock resonated in the large home. Good timing for both of them as the mother just finished fixing the child's hair. "Oh, that must be her." She exhaled nervously as she ushered [First Name] to stand up before smoothing their clothes and making small retouches to their appearance. The child put on their coat to complete their outfit.

The two descended the stairs into the receiving room. The mother clasped the door handle and turned to her child.

"[First Name], before I forget. Please call the doctor, Ms. Rosehearts."
