I watched in utter dismay as Colin and another woman made out on the other side of this club.

Colin had always been a cheating piece of shit but to see him do this right in front of me hurt.

He had just won his second super bowl and wanted me to tag along as his little accessory so before we stepped foot in the club paparazzi could take and sell pictures of Hollywood's favorite golden couple.

Sometimes I wondered why the hell I said 'Yes' when he proposed. But, it most likely had to do with the fact he proposed in front of all his teammates, friends, and family.

Plus, that damn contract.

The room was booming with both, loud music and dancing bodies but that didn't stop a tear from running down my cheek as I listened to the slow r&b they blasted through the club.

Ryder then stepped in front of me and gently grabbed my hand as he said sharply, "Come on. We're leaving, you don't need to torture yourself watching him."

In a matter of seconds, he was pushing through the crowd toward the back exit all while keeping a protective yet gentle hold on me.

Ryder Reid was more than an exceptional man and for the past six months has been finding his way into my heart in ways Collin could never.

"Ryder..." I called lowly as we made it to an empty hallway that led to the exit causing him to stop and turn to face me

"Yes, Val?" He asked softly causing me to stare into his deep blue eyes before letting my eyes settle on the tattoos that were trying to showcase themselves on his neck despite being mostly covered by the black suit he wore

The energy radiating from us both was bound to get the both of us in trouble, yet the way he was countered my gaze let me know he felt exactly as me.

"He doesn't deserve you. You do know that, right?" Ryder asked while intensely staring into my eyes

"Yes," I replied just above a whisper before he gently placed his hands on my cheeks causing me to almost diminish under his touch

God, I've been waiting for this moment forever.
