Time was hard to tell in Dragonspine. The snowy fog covered the skies, you wouldn't be able to tell if the sun has just risen or if it already fell. Either way, time has passed once again once you had woken up.
"Ngh..." You groaned as you got up. "Eat. You collapsed from hunger while we were travelling." Subject Two hands you a sunsettia. You look at the sunsettia in awe, as you have never seen or tried the fruit. Sure, you have seen some people online post images of fruits that LOOK like sunsettia. But the real thing was something else.
"Thank you um..." Right, you can't say his 'name' or anything you know about him. You weren't supposed to have any knowledge about this world or his existence.
He tilts his head, urging you to go on. "What's your name?" You ask. "My name? Hm..." Subject 2 was debating between two answers he could give you. "Since you don't know anything about this world, I think I can at least be honest with you." He adjusts himself to sit properly, "I don't have one...or I used to at least, but I can't remember."
"O-Oh..." You frown as you take a bite of the sunsettia, it tasted like a mix between peaches, apples and mangos. Sweet but also tangy...crisp and juicy.
Then a thought came, "Can I give you a name?"
"Hm?" He looks at you, bewildered. "I would feel bad if I just kept calling 'you' or 'this guy'" It was mostly an excuse for you to give a name that the community calls him. "Ruby...is that okay?"
Subject Two- No...Ruby's heart raced. He had a name. An identity separate from Albedo, the one he had been trying to impersonate. He was too busy trying to control his emotions he forgot to give you a response. "That's fine by me."
"Well then, it's nice to meet you Ruby. I'm-"
