A battle always gets them low and wounded but this one battle.

"Blaze!" Gempa's voice trembled in worry as he ran to him, Blaze sat on the bottom of the canyon as he covered a wound that was bleeding out too much. "..Gem.. Gempa.." The boy called out weakly. Gempa got to him as he held him in his arms "Blaze.." Gempa's shakey hands could only wipe away a few of his tears as he held Blaze tight. His lover coughing out trying to fight death. "Gempa it hurts.." Blaze leaned onto Gempa letting out quiet sobs, "I know I know.." Gempa could only hug him tight. Watches broken no signal no way to call for help.

"Gempa!" a boy cheerfully hugged the boy making breakfast, "good morning Blaze" Gampa kisses his forehead as he smiled, "did you wound heal up well?" Gempa asked, "Feeling great as ever!" Blaze smiled. Gempa always helps blaze when blaze gets wounded in fights especially when he dosent think before jumping into battles—

This time it was His plan that got Blaze wounded. not only that he was fatally wounded. "I'm so sorry Blaze..! I should have thought what would happen if you did that! it's all my fault..!" Gempa cried onto his lover sobbing hard knowing he couldn't do anything he felt useless. "Gempa.. don't blame yourself.. we did it.. to win.." Blaze weakly smiled as he held Gempa's hands "All I know and care about is I died in my lovers arms.. his warm, loving, and caring arms.."

"I love you Gem.."

the last words that he let out. Gempa cried hugging his cold lifeless body whispering I love you's over and over again. Blaze never got to hear his response.

"I wish I could have done better to protect you Firefly."
