The raging sound of a carriage speeding through the once-quiet kingdom was now fully awake royal guards on their noble steeds stormed towards the carriage swords out, ready to stop those who stole it and bring them to the dungeons. The carriage was driven by three bandits each one from a different background. Still, all of them had the same goal to steal a so-called treasure in a chest belonging to the king nobody knew what the treasure was not even the townspeople nor the bandits but the bandits had an idea of what the prize might be. A couple of days before the heist all of the bandits spied and secretly listened to the king and the only thing that the king had said to his guards was "The treasure that I possess is a very unique and unknown item that must never leave this chest at all time" and once the bandits heard that their curiosity got the best of them all. The carriage stormed out of the kingdom and into the cold night with the royal knights still following behind them yelling "Stop criminals and pay for your crime".
"Hurry up their gaining on us," said one of the bandits.
"I'm going as fast as I can," said the other bandit "It is hard to see with all this fog, and plus the ground is wet the mud is interfering with the horse's speed so if we don't do something fast then we're all gonna be thrown into the dungeons and then later executed".
Right as the driver said that he noticed something just up ahead. It was hard to make out due to the intense fog but it looked to be a small road just to the right of the main road.
"Over there turn on that road up ahead," said the other bandit pointing in front of the driver
"But we don't know if that's a road or not" said the driver .
"Well its either that or toss the treasure out or the other guy in the back.
With hesitation the driver turned quickly off the main road and proceeded down the side road which turned out to be not a road but a small natural trail created by nature. The carriage rocked violently down the trail pumping and shaking all about. The bandits all held on for dear life the driver trying his best to keep the horses steady and the one next to him was holding on to his seat while the one in the back with the trasure was rocking all over the place. The ropes controlling the horses suddenly snapped causing the horses to buckle and fall underneath the carriage killing them instantly now the carriage was fully out of control rampaging through the dark forest before crashing into a tree sending the driver and his partner flying out of their seats falling on the cold wet grass.
